教学目标

1. 能掌握以下单词与词组：outer space, fly, a rocket, star, the sun, the moon, astronaut, spaceman, dark, bright. 2. 能掌握以下句型：

1) I will study the moon.

2) I want to be an astronaut. 3)--What do astronauts do?

--They fly to the outer space. 3. 学习由will构成的一般将来时的用法。

4. 激发学生学习的学习兴趣,并培养学生的自主学习和与他人合作的精神。

5. 在情景创设中培养学生合作学习的能力，通过多种形式的游戏和活动，激发学生学习英语的兴趣。

教学重难点

1. 能会读会写会说单词与词组：outer space, fly, a rocket, star, the sun, the moon, astronaut, spaceman, dark, bright. 2. 能掌握句型：

1) I will study the moon.

2) I want to be an astronaut. 3)--What do astronauts do?

--They fly to the outer space. 3. 由will构成的一般将来时的用法。

教学过程

Step 1. Warming-up

T: Good morning, everyone!

S: Good morning, teacher!

T: What do you want to do in the future? S1: I want to be a teacher. S2: I want to be a scientist. T: OK, look at the kid in the book, what does he want to do? S: He wants to be an astronaut. He wants to fly to the outer space. T: What will he do there? S: He will study the moon and see the stars. T: Right, today we will learn Unit 8 I will study the moon. First, let’s review the new words.

(教师打开多媒体，展示出图片，让学生根据相关图片，说出所对应的单词。)

Step 2. Presentation T: Do you know the outer space? S: Yes. T: The kid in the book wants to be an astronaut. He wants to fly to the outer space. And he will study the moon and see the stars. (由此对话引出句型：1) I will study the moon. 2) I want to be an astronaut. 并板书于黑板上。) S1: What is an astronaut? T: It is a spaceman. What do they do? Do you know? S2: They fly rockets and they do science. T: Good. Look at the book, what does Zhou Lin in the future? S3: He wants to go to Mars one day. (由此对话引出句型：--What do astronauts do?

--They fly to the outer space.并板书于黑板上。) T: Yeah, that's right. S4: But the outer space is all dark. T: Yes, it is dark. But the sun and the stars are bright. S5: Zhou Lin will be a great scientist! 教师领读新句型，然后找学生读，同桌进行对话练习，直至学生熟练掌握。

T: Can you tell your partner about what Zhou Lin wants to do again? S: Yeah. S1: Zhou Lin wants to be an astronaut. S2: Zhou Lin wants to fly to the outer space.

S3: Zhou Lin wants to study the moon and see the stars. 教师总结新句型，并向学生进行解释。

Step 3. Pair work

1. 引导学生展开Pair work活动，进行口语交际活动，学会理解运用I will study the moon. I want to be an astronaut. --What do astronauts do? --They fly to the outer space.等句型。

e.g. T: S1, what do astronauts do? Can you tell me? S1: Yeah. They fly rockets and they do science. T: And what will Zhou Lin in the future? S1: He wants to be an astronauts. He wants to fly to the outer space. T: Can you practice with your partner? Tell him or her about what Zhou Lin wants to do. S: Yeah.

S1: Zhou Lin wants to be… / He will…

2. Ask Ss to read the conversation in the book. 老师看学生们的掌握情况，应对话中学生们不明白的地方给予适当的解释。

3. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and repeat. Then let Ss work in pairs to practice reading the conversation. Then try to act it out.

4. Ask some pairs to come to the front and act out the conversation. See which group does best.

Step 4. Homework

1. Remember the new words and expressions.

2. Role-play the conversation with a partner after class.
