I. Teaching aims

1.Knowledge aims

能正确朗读下列词汇和短语并在实际的对话操练中加以应用：

beautiful, garden, bedroom, second, floor, and so on, upstairs, kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, first

能够在情景对话中用there be句型描述屋内房间及基本摆设等；在小组合作活动中找出there be 句型的规则

能够就“存在、建议”等交际功能的基本法进行交流与对话操练，如：

(1)

There is a study next to my bedroom.

(2) There is a sofa, a desk, some books and so on.

(3) There is/are … on the first/second floor.

2.Skill aims

能就房间、室内摆设进行简单的交流；

能在口头表达中做到发音清晰，语音语调准确；

能正确朗读对话，注意语音语调和单词重音；

3.Emotional aims 能在学习的同时，热爱自己的生活环境；

能够与同伴积极合作，参与课堂活动，大胆实践。

III. Teaching procedures

Step1 Introduction

(5 minutes) 1.Get students ready for learning.

T:：Good morning , boys and girls .Nice to meet you . Ss：Good morning , Miss Jia . T:：As usual I devide you into two groups. This is group 1 and this is group two. Let me see which group is winner at last. Ss:Ok. 2. T: What day is it today?

S: It’s Monday.

T: How many lessons do you have every weekday?

S: Eight lessons.

T: Which subject do you like best?

S: I like···best.

T: Why do you like it?

S: Beause it’s ···

3. Then let’s play a game. Its name is brainstorming. I find a student in each group. Try to say the words about subjects as many as you can. The group which can say the most words faster will be the winner in this group competition. Who wants to be a volunteer? Step2 Presentation (10 minutes) 1.T: Now I am a magican. I show you a magic. Look at my magic hand. Oh, my god. One, Two, Three. Can you guess what’s this?

S:It’s a tree.

T: What are these?

S: They are flowers.

T: Then what is this ?

S: It’s a house.

T: Yes, it’s a beautiful house.

Can you guess whose house is this?

S:Maybe it’s Jane’s house.

T：Yes. It’s Jane’s house. If we visit Jane’s house, what should she say?

S: Maybe she will say welcome to my home.

T:Now I show you around Jane’s home. First, let’s knock on the door. Let’s go into Jane’s home. 2.T: Today we will learn unit 6 topic 1 Section A. Now listen to the sounds carefully. Guess what Jane is doing? And what room is this?

T: What is Jane doing?

S: She is reading books.

T: Where is she reading books?

S: She is reading books in the study.

以这样的方式继续引出并学习其他有关房间的单词。

3. T: Read after me loudly. 纠正学生的发音

4. T: Group one and group two have a competition. I find a student in each group. You should point at the words about rooms when the game begins. 5.Watch the flash of 1a. Then answer these questions according to 1a. Step3 Consolidation (10 minutes) T: Listen to the tape again and choose the correct answer in 1b. Then fill in the blanks according to 1a. Then check your answers.

填空后核对答案，并且讲解其中的语法内容。

Welcome to + 地点名词

on the second floor在第二层楼，序数词前加the,介词用on study “学习”此时为动词，“书房”此时为名词。

There be:“某地有某物”，There is 用于可数名词单数和不可数名词，There are用于可数名词复数。

and so on 等等

Step4 Practice(10 minutes) 1.T: I give you one minute to practice 1a in pairs. Then act it out. 2.Do 1c.Fill in the blanks individually . Then check the answers.

Students tell the answers and spell the words. 3. Do 2a . Look at the picture. Then listen and match the words or phrases with the places. Are you ready! 4.Read the sentences in 4b. Guess the answers. Then listen to the tape and check your answers. 5. Do the exercises. Share your answers with us. Then tell me your reason. Step5 Production (10 minutes)

1. T: Look there everybody. Who’s coming? Yes, Miss Liu is coming. This is my home. I take you to my home.

2. Draw a picture of your home individually first. Then talk about your home with your group members. Tell them which room you like best and why. Finally, some students show your pictures to the whole class and describe your favorite room and give the reason. Attention please, you must use the words about rooms of homes and “there be” structure in oral work and written work. Step6 Summary 1. T: What have we leart? Let’s sum up together. 2. Assign the homework：Make up a new conversation similar to 1a with your partner. Then report it to the class next day; Preview Section B. 3.Let me see who is winner today. Group``` is winner.
