Unit 2 What time is it? Part B Let’s learn Teaching aims: Ss understand and say”get up, go to school, go home,

go to bed”.

Ss can say the time.

Ss can say:”It’s time to____.”

Teaching points: The words：”get up, go to school, go home,

go to bed”. Teaching

difficulties: The difference between “It’s time for____.”

and “It’s time to____.”. Teaching aids ：Teaching cards，CAI, tape recorder. Teaching steps：

Step 1. Warm-up 1.Play the tape for Ss to say the chant of P15. 2.Show a clock .Ss say the time. 3.Have Ss to watch the CAI. Say the time quickly. Step 2. Presentation 1.Have Ss watch the CAI, present the time and the action: It’s 7:25.

It’ time to get up. 2.Present the other time and actions in the same way:”It’s 7:30.

It’ time to go to school. It’s 4:00. It’ time to go home. It’s 9:00. It’ time to go to bed. 3. Play the tape for Ss to listen and repeat.

Step 3 Practice. 1.Game: Have Ss guess the picture covered. 2.Give the commands, Ss do the actions. 3.Ask several Ss to do the actions, others say the commands. 4.Have Ss say the chant on the CAI. 5.Present the difference between “It’s time for____.”

and “It’s time to____.”

6.Have Ss watch the CAI, fill in the blank. 7.Have Ss make a dialouge : ---What time is it ? ---It’s ___. It’s time for/to_____. Step 4. Consolidation 1.

Present my timetable. 2.

Present the proverbs abut time. 3.

Home work.
