Teaching aims: 1. Learn the fruit words “apple, banana, pear , lemon and orange”. 2.Learn the new sentence pattern “Is this a/an …”. Teaching emphases: Grasp the new words “apple, banana, pear, lemon and orange”.

Teaching difficulties: Make up dialogues with the sentence pattern “ Is this a/an …”. Teaching aids: Pictures and PPT. Teaching procedures：

Step1.Warming up

1. Greetings. 2. Sing a song. Step2.Presentation 1.

New words. (1)Show a picture of an apple. T: What’s this? Ss: It’s an apple. Show the word apple and let the pupils read after the teacher. Then ask some pupils to read it.

Teach the other words in the same way. (2)Let’s chant. 苹果苹果 apple, apple, apple, apple. 香蕉香蕉 banana, banana, banana, banana. 梨子梨子 pear, pear, pear, pear. 柠檬柠檬 lemon, lemon, lemon, lemon. 橘子橘子 orange, orange, orange, orange. (3)The teacher changes the cards quickly. The pupils read English according to the card. Step3 Practice 1.

Ask and answer. The teacher shows some pictures of fruits. The pupils use“Yes, it is.”or “No, it isn’t.” to answer the teacher’s questions “Is this a/an…”according to the pictures. 2.
