I’m watching TV.(Section A1a-2b) I.

教材分析

本单元内容设计是围绕“everyday activities”这一个话题“谈论现在正在进行或发生的动作”，主要的教学内容是现在进行时，以“What are you doing?”这一主题引出现在进行时的一般疑问句，否定句以及特殊疑问句等语言功能。这一话题贴近学生的日常生活,语言素材源于学生生活实际,因此有助于提高学生学习英语的兴趣。本节课是第一课时，学生在这一节课中将初步掌握现在进行时的用法及问答。它既是本单元的基本语言内容，又为本单元知识的继续学习、拓展和综合运用语言，奠定坚实的基础，在本单元有重要的作用。

II. Teaching Aims:

a. vocabulary：newspaper, read a newspaper, use, soup, make soup, wash, movie, go to the movies b. sentence structure：

What are you doing? I am watching TV . What is he/she doing ？

He/She is doing homework. What are they doing? They are eating dancing. 2. Ability objects:

将现在进行时灵活适时地运用到日常学习和生活中去。

Moral objects:

在趣味话题的激励下，诱导学生积极参与，充分调动他们的学习兴趣，并注重培养学生的合作竞争能力和自主探究学习的能力。

He is v-ing. Difficult points：现在进行时中现在分词的结构及读音，能在交际中准确地运用现在进行时来描述或表达正在进行的动作。

V. Teaching procedures

Step1 Warming-up

Step3 practice the sentence struture.

(设计意图：老师和学生互动，让学生体会现在进行时，并引导出句型What are you doing? I am learning English领会现在进行时态。为接下来的学习做好铺垫.) 2. Show some pictures of activities on the screen and present the sentence structure. T: What’s she/he doing? Ss: She/He is playing basketball… Ask and answer in pairs and then Ask groups of students to practice the target language. （设计意图：通过多媒体有趣图片的展示，让学生学习和感受现在进行时的第三人称的结构和用法以及现在分词的构成，反复训练并为下一步学习和听力训练做好准备）

Step4 SS do 1a

Get the students to match the pictures and phrases. Then check the answers. Step5. Pair work

1.Ask the Ss to read the conversations in groups. Then look at the pictures in1a. And every group make conversations about other person in the picture and show. （设计意图：利用小组竞争机制，充分调动学生的积极性，增强了学习效果）

Step6. Listening

1. Work on2a; T: I have two friends Jack and Steve. Jack and Steve are talking on the phone. What are they doing now? Listen to the conversations and match the answers with the questions. (Play the recording for the first time, students only listen carefully. Then, listen to the recording again, and match the answers with the questions. ) Check the answers. （设计意图：听力一直是学生学习英语的难点。第一步只是让学生听，注意发音和语调；第二步让学生根据听力内容完成练习题。）

2. Work on 2b. Let Ss look through the information in 2b first. Then play the recording for the Ss tw.

The first time Ss only listen and write down the words in the blanks. Then play the recording again for the Ss to check the answers. (If necessary, press the Pause button to help.) Ss pratice the conversation and show. Step 7 Exercises.

Step8 Summary

1.To sum up the new words and important phrases. 2.To sum up the usage of the present progressive tense. （设计意图：通过教师点拨这一环节，学生就能更好地明确自己在哪方面需要改进了。）

Step9. Homework

1. Read and remember the words and sentences.

2. Write the conversation in 2b down. 3. Go on reciting 2d （设计意图：通过做作业可以巩固本节课所学知识，查缺补漏。）

教学反思：

本节课的优点：

1.

本节课的话题为讨论别人正在进行的动作，话题贴近生活，容易激发学生的学习兴趣。

2.

通过老师和学生做动作大家猜的方式，提高了学生党的参与程度。

3.

通过图片和小组合作等环节进行教学，让授课内容简单易懂，课堂气氛活跃。

本节课的缺点：

1.

动名词的变化规则有的同学不是掌握的很熟练，例如双写末尾辅音字母的单词。

2.

Pair-work 环节学生参与程度可以再提高。
