I’m watching TV

一，教学目标分析

A.

语言目标：

1，掌握现在进行时表达方式。

2，掌握以下句型：

① —What time is it in Beijing?

—It's eight o'clock in the morning. ② It's 9:00 a.m. and Zhu Hui's family are at home. ③ Zhu Hui misses his family and wishes to have his mom's delicious zongzi.

3，通过不同形式的练习，提高学生们综合运用所学知识的能力。

情感态度与价值观：

1，通过本节课的学习，培养学生积极主动的学习心理状态，调动学习内驱力。

2，培养同学间的友好相处，规范自己的行为，同时能提高他们的观察能力和判断能力，激发他们对学习英语的兴趣和热情，在接近生活常态的交际中能乐于模仿，敢于开口，积极参与，主动请教。

3，了解中西方文化的不同，具有世界观念，了解其他的国家的文化。

二，教学重难点

1. 教学重点：

1) 掌握本课出现生的词及表达方式。

2) 进一步练习运用现在进行时态的句子来描述他人在做的事情。

3) 通过听、说、读的练习，提高学生们的综合运用能力。

阅读短文，获得相关信息，完成相关任务。

三，教法选择与学法指导

本单元运用任务型教学、情景教学和合作学习法，培养学生综合能力，从听，说，读，写方面入手，让学生全面掌握时间的表达方法和提问。

教学过程

Step1: Warming-up

Activity : Brainstorming

Show them some pictures of Chinese traditional festivals and ask students a question:

设计意图

通过图片导入方式让学生们迅速进入状态，了解中国传统节日（阅读文化背景）。

Step2: Pre-reading

Activity : Watch a video

Give them three minutes to go through the whole passage, then ask them some questions: 1, What does the article talk about ? 2, Where is Zhu Hui now? 3, What does “host family” mean?

Ask students to read the article paragraph by paragraph. Then make some questions: For the first paragraph: 1,Where is Zhu Hui living now ? 2, What time is it in China ? 3, What are the activities of Zhu Hui's family in China? 4, Why are Zhu Hui's family watching boat races and making zongzi ?

For the second paragraph：

1,What time is it in U.S.A ? 2,What are the activities of Zhu Hui's host family in New York? 3, Does he like his host family? 4, What does he think about his home in China ?

Show a structure form on the whiteboard, then ask students to fill in the blanks.

通过多媒体展示阅读文章，并且计时三分钟让学生们整体浏览一遍文章主旨和段落大意。

分段落精读文章，通过细节提问让学生关注文章的动作，原因，时间描写。并且用完整的句子复述出来。

通过表格让学生对整篇课文进行梳理，并且能够通过表格复习现在进行时的用法。

Through the pictures to extend some foreign interesting festivals.

Write an article to describe the activities in your favorite festival.

介绍个别有趣的西方节日，让学生了解中西方文化的不同，具有世界观念。

让学生活学活用，描述自己在节假日做什么事情，可以描述照片，用现在进行时态。
