一、Teaching Aims

1、Knowledge Objectives （1）key words：sunny, rainy, windy, snowy, cloudy

--How is the weather (+in+地名)?/What’s the weather like (+in+地名)?

--It’s sunny/ rainy/ windy/ snowy/ cloudy. 2、Ability Objective Learn how to use the key description words and sentences. 3、Emotion Objectives

(1) Develop students’ sense of teamwork by finishing group work.

(2) Know about some knowledge of geography. 二、Teaching key points and difficult points 1、key points：

(1) key words：sunny, rainy, windy, snowy, cloudy

(2)key sentences：--What is the weather like in...?/How is the weather in...?

--It's rainy/raining.

2、difficult points：

(1)noun-adjective，such as: sun-sunny, rain-rainy, wind-windy, cloud-cloudy, snow-snowy. (2)foreign country names. 三、Teaching Method Task-based teaching method and group work.

四、Teaching Aids：blackboard, ppt, pictures. 五、Teaching Procedure：

1、Warm up （1）Greeting （2）Play a music“

Rhythm of the Rain”（雨中旋律）.

2、Lead-in

（1）Brainstorm，review the words about weather and then lead in the new words：sunny, rainy, windy, snowy, cloudy

Summary of word-formation：sun-sunny, rain-rainy, wind-windy, snow-snowy, cloud-cloudy.

（2）teacher teaches students how to read the new words and ask some students read, other students read after them, when they read, teacher listens carefully, finds mistakes and corrects the pronunciation. （3）one student says Chinese and others say English, then exchange the role. It aims to remember the new words. （4）play a game about new words. 3、Finish 1a

A volunteer writes answer on the blackboard and other students read the words together. 4、Listen 1b 5、Role play the conversation For example: --What is the weather like?/How is the weather?

--It's rainy/raining. First, teacher asks one student and then students have some minutes to prepare with their partner, after that, choose some pairs to show their dialogues. In this part, students can get points if they don’t have any mistakes.

6、Listen 2a、2b 7、Group work It’s time to show their performance in the group, they have about five minutes to prepare. Their performance should include some key sentence structures:

snowy 七、Teaching Reflection I think this lesson is better than I thought, students can cooperate me well, and their role play and group work are very successful, their performance is better than me. But in this class, I say too much, I should give students more time to show themselves. And students should get more opportunities.
