Now, I will take you to the zoo to see animals. In the first picture, we can see dolphins…these are animals. Animals are our good friends. Animals give us a lot of fun. Do you like animals? Why do you like them? Today we will talk about animals. 2. Present some pictures of animals and get students to learn the new words. Step2 Presentation1a&1b 1a: T: Now look at the screen; we can see a map of the zoo. Can you tell me where the tiger is? Match the words with the animals in the picture. Check the answers. 1b: T: The boy and the girl are talking about animals. Let’s listen to the tape and try to find out what animal they want to see. Check the animals you hear in 1a.

Do some practice to make students know the animals better.

Step3pairwork1c 1c: Ask the students to make their own dialogues. Then leave students several minutes to do this task in pairs. Finally, invite some pairs to present their own dialogues.

Step4Listening practice 2a&2b 2a: Ask students to have a quick look at the chart in 2a. Then play the tape, students should write the animals they hear, and then draw a line from the animals to the description words and the countries they are from.

2b: Listen again. Complete the conversation with the words in 2a. Explain the language points to the students. Then play the tape the third time, students can turn to page91 and read after the tape.(If time permits)
