Unit11 What do you think of game shows? (section B)

Teaching aims: 1.Teach vocabulary words. 2.Target languages: I have a watch, a scarf and sunglasses. What do you think of the watch? 3.Enable the student to talk about what people think of these decorating things. 4.Help the students learn how to read and write about their opinions and their likes and dislikes.. Teaching procedures: Step 1. Warming up Show some TV shows and ask the students to give their opinions using the structure “what do you think of ……?”

Step 2.Learn the things that can be decorated. 1.

(Show the sunglasses, scarf, wallet, belt, watch and key ring.) Say, I have some fashionable things. How many of these things do you have?

Point to some things and ask a student,What do you think of the scarf ? Help he/she to answer: I don’t like it/I love it/I don’t mind it/I can’t stand it.

Then

ask another student to point at the first one “what does he

think of the scarf?

Ask the students to work in pair. Practice the dialogue. Fill in the chart. 4.

Look at the pictures in Activity 1a. Ask the students to do the match work. Check the answers. Then ask the students to give their opinions using the structure “what do you think of ……?”
