Unit 7 It’s raining Section A(2d-3b)教学设计

一、The analysis of teaching content

At the beginning of this class, the teacher can cheer the students up by showing students a video of some exercise and let students do as the two young men in the video do.

The teacher can lead the sentence structure which will be learned today by reviewing the words about the weather they have learned in the last lesson. The Present Continuous

Tense is a very important grammar. The teacher should help the students do as many exercises as they can. 二、The analysis of the students 1.

Most of the students have a better understanding of the new words and grammar. 2. The students have already previewed the new knowledge of this lesson, which can help them express their opinions in English. 三、Teaching aims Knowledge aim: Expressions: ride a horse; pick up the strawberries; make a snowman.

Ability aims: 1. Develop students’ ability of expressing their opinions in English. 2. Enable students to form a good habit of discussion. Affection and attitude:

1. To stimulate students’ interest in speaking English.

2. To get the students to learn how to work together in the process of language learning.

四、Teaching important and difficult points

Teaching important points 1. Let the students master how to make up a new dialogue by using the sentence structures they will learn today.

2. Let the students get the hang of the Present Continuous Tense .

Teaching difficult points 1. Get the students to get the hang of the Present Continuous Tense .

2. How to help the students develop their ability of making up a new dialogue in English.

五、Teaching procedures Step1. Cheering up (3 minutes)

Enjoy a video with students. Ask them do as the two young men in the video do in order to cheer them up.

Then ask them: Do you feel much better? Are you still sleepy now? Step2. Review (2minutes)

Present the students with the following pictures about different weather, and let them tell me how the weather is now.

Step3. Game time (4 minutes) Ask five students to come to the blackboard to play the game so as to remember the words about the weather above. Step4. Grammar focus (6 minutes) Let the students read the sentences in the first part on Page39 and let them pay attention to all the “be + doing” structures. Then ask them: Can you tell me what the structure is?

现在进行时，此刻正发生；

左右两只手，该出手时同出手；

be 和doing ，一定要牢记。Yeah!

Step5. Consolidation (3 minutes) In order to know whether they master the grammar or not, get them finish some exercises and then check the answers together. 1. Look at a photo and finish a short essay. 2. The exercises in 3a on Page 39.

Step6. Activity —Ask and answer (5 minutes) Present the students with the following pictures, asking them some questions and they should give me answers.

Step7. Finish 3b (5 minutes)

Yuan Yuan from CCTV is interviewing people in five different places. Fill in the chart below according to the pictures.

Step8. Pair work —— Make up a new dialogue (10 minutes) 1. Surrounding the following pictures shown on the screen, students can work in pairs to make up

a dialogue.

2. Several minutes later, ask some students to give a performance for the class.

Step9. Summary (2 minutes) What we have learned in this lesson and ask the students whether they have any questions or not. Step10. Homework

1. Learn the new words / expressions in the part.

2. Finish the exercises of your workbooks on Page 97.
