L22 The Den
一、教学目标
1.
语言能力目标:学生能够读懂故事情节;惟妙惟肖地模仿录音;绘声绘色地独立朗读故事;能复述主要故事情节;能掌握字母组合“str/st/spl/sw”的拼读规律;能发挥想象改写故事结局。
2.
非语言能力目标:通过让学生观察故事图片培养学生的观察力;通过讨论培养学生的想象力;培养学生大胆表达自己想法的自信和勇气。
1. 导入(Lead-in):播放视频,了解如何搭窝棚
通过播放视频,帮助学生了解如何搭窝棚,为看图讲故事做好铺垫。
What did the boy and his father do? They made a den. What did they use to make the den? Did they use sticks/branches/straw? Have you ever made a den? Do you want to make a den? The children made a den. How did they make it? What was the den like? What happened? Let’s have a look.
2.
看图讲故事(Storytelling):理解故事情节,观察窝棚的制作过程
教师利用课件逐幅播放故事图片,并用丰富的表情、生动的英文和适当的肢体语言给学生绘声绘色地讲故事,让学生观察孩子们制作窝棚的过程,体会孩子们对窝棚的喜爱之情。
(Picture 1)The children were by the stream. Did they have a good time? Yes. Look at Wilf. What was he thinking? (请学生自由作答)
Wilf had an idea. (Picture 2)He found some sticks. “Let’s make a den,” he said, “Put the sticks like this.”
Biff did like Wilf.(指着Biff)
Chip and Wilma helped to get more sticks.(指着Chip和Wilma)
(Picture 3)They all found some sticks. Look at Chip. What did he find? (指着Chip)
He found lots of branches. How about Wilma? She found some straw. (Picture 4)Look! The den was done. It had branches and straw on. Did their den look good? (请学生自由作答)
Look at Biff. What did she find? She found some logs.
“We can sit on them inside the den,” she said. (Picture 5)The children sat in the den.
What did they do in the den? They enjoyed some food and drinks. But it began to rain. Oh no! The rain splashed into the den.(指着溅进来的雨滴)
“I’m getting wet,” said Kipper. (Picture 6)The children went out of the den. Dad came to the den. “We’re all getting wet,” he said, “It’s time to go.”
“Can we come back soon?” asked Biff. (Picture 7)Could they go back soon? No. It rained all week.
The children couldn’t go out to play. (模仿孩子们的表情)
Were they happy about the rain? No. They wanted the rain to stop. (配合表情)
They wanted to go back to the den. (Picture 8)Finally, the rain stopped. The children went back to the den. Wilma crawled into the den. (配合动作)
“Oh no!” she said, “We can’t play in the den!”
Why couldn’t they play in the den? What did she see? (指着窝棚,让学生猜一猜)
(Picture 9)Wow! There was a swan in the den. “Shh!” said Wilf. 教师要注意启发学生思考,每次提问之后稍作停顿,不要急于说出答案,先观察学生的反应,如学生仍回答困难,再进一步给出提示引导学生作答。
3.
听录音模仿(Listening and Imitating):听懂录音并模仿出标准的语音语调
听录音模仿时,录音是什么音什么调,就让学生模仿成什么音什么调,注意以下单词发音:branch, stick, straw, splash,同时注意以下句子的语气及表达的不同情感:“We’re all getting wet, It’s time to go.”“Can we come back soon?”“Oh no! We can’t play in the den!”。
(1)放录音,让学生完整地听一遍故事,整体输入,不需停顿。
(2)放录音,全班学生齐声模仿1-2遍。要求学生逐句跟读,鼓励学生大胆开口,读出戏剧化效果,读出感情。教师要引导学生用关心和焦急的语气读“We’re all getting wet. It’s time to go.”,用请求和不舍的语气读“Can we come back soon?”,用惊讶和遗憾的语气读“Oh no! We can’t play in the den!”。
4.
朗读故事(Reading Dramatically):读懂故事并学会绘声绘色地独立朗读故事
通过多种形式的朗读,让学生能够绘声绘色地独立朗读故事,培养学生有感情朗读故事的习惯,练就扎实的语言基本功。
(1)分组比赛朗读。将学生分成男生、女生两个组,进行小组间的朗读比赛。
(2)朗读游戏。将图片顺序打乱,并设置编号(见课件)。请不同的学生分别选取一个编号,大声朗读与编号对应的图片。
(3)个人朗读。请几名学生朗读最喜欢的一幅图。教师根据学生读的情况给予表扬、鼓励和指导。
5. 检查理解(Story Comprehension):梳理故事情节,提炼故事主线
(1)看图问答,提炼故事主线。
教师将故事分为三部分:图2-5;图6-7;图8-9,通过PPT分别展示每部分图片(见课件),并提出问题,请学生回答。问题可参考如下:

What did the children want to do? What did they use to make the den? What did they do in the den? What happened then? 图6-7:
How did the children feel to leave the den? Did they go back to the den soon? Why? 图8-9:
The rain stopped. What did the children do? Could they play in the den? Why? 在学生回答过程中,教师在黑板上画出故事脉络图并写出每部分的关键词。

(2)复述故事
让学生根据黑板上的故事脉络图和关键词复述故事。可先请几名学生分别复述故事的三个部分,然后请一两名学生独立复述整个故事。教师可先示范复述故事开头,如:
One day, the children were by the stream. Suddenly, Wilf had an idea. He wanted to make a den…
6. 讨论(Discussion):展开联想,讨论故事结局 教师展示第9幅图,让学生展开联想,围绕故事结局分组讨论:
What would the children do next? Would they make another den? Where?
Would they take care of the swan? How?
讨论后,教师请小组代表发言,如学生回答有困难,教师需给予引导和帮助。
