在新世纪英语4B Unit6 Unit 6中,wonderland所呈现的单词是:touch, feel, smell, taste, sweet, sour, hot.其中单词touch首次出现在2BU7的WL中,后又在3AU6的GT,3BU5的GT,4AU6的P,4AU9 F和4B U1的P中出现。单词feel首次出现在3BU3的WL中,后又在3BU5的GT/PL,4AU9的GT/F ,3BU3WL和4AU12的K中出现。单词smell首先出现在1BU7的F中, 后又在2AU10的GT,3AU5的F,3A U8的GT和4AU10的P中。单词taste首先出现在1BU7的GT中, 后又在3BU3的WL,4AU2的MB和4AU9的F中。在2AU10的GT作为名词出现。sweet作为形容词,首先出现在4AU8的WL中, 但作为sweet potatoes红薯出现。后又在4AU9的F出现,首次作为目标词汇是在本单元中。sour首次出现在3BU1 的F中。hot首先出现在3AU8的WL中, 但作为hot dogs热狗出现。后又在4AU3的P和4AU10的
MB中,没有在主板块中作为目标词汇出现。Farmland所学的句型是: How does it smell/taste/smell? 其中How does it feel?曾在4AU9F中出现过。Grand Theatre则是Tom和Alice通过玩水果猜谜游戏,操练本单元核心词汇和句型。通过三年多英语学习,学生已经形成了一定的语言积累基于学生具有较强的语言学习能力和欲望,在教学中教师应该运用教材所提供的文本,并辅以自编文本以整合新旧知识,在情境创设与语篇再构中推进词句的学习与运用,以满足不同层面学生的需要,提高学生的学习兴趣。
因此,我们基于教材,基于课程标准,对本单元进行了单元整体设计。以Carol的生日为主线,设定的主题为Carol’s birthday,在第一课时Shopping for Carol’s birthday party设计中,主人公Tom和妈妈去超市为Carol的生日派对而进行购物。他们分别在玩具区购买了泰迪雄,在烘焙区购买了草莓蛋糕,在水果区购买了些水果为Carol制作水果沙拉。为第二课时Making a fruit salad for Carol做准备。Tom和妈妈在各区域挑选的物品,全是基于Carol所喜欢的。第二课时,Tom回到家后,用买来的水果和朋友们共同为Carol制作水果沙拉。第三课时中,在第一课时,第二课时内容整合基础上,有所递进。Carol欣喜地收到礼物,并高兴地品尝着Tom和朋友们亲自为她做的水果沙拉。感受到其乐融融的亲情和友情并体会到浓浓的幸福之感。

Carol tastes the fruit salad. Her favourite gift is the fruit salad this year. Her super brother Tom and their friends make it by themselves. The fruit salad looks colourful. It smells great. It tastes yummy. It can make Carol excited. How happy she is! She loves her birthday so much.
