Unit 4 Can I have a pet? Period One

一、教学目标. 1、能听懂,会说新单词:pet,puppy,kitten,rabbit,cage,basket,lovely,hold,touch. 2、能听、说、读、写单词:rabbit,puppy,kitten,shop. 3、会用can/can’t 表达能与不能做的事。

4、能理解并复述本课对话。

二、教学重点及难点. 重点:1、熟悉本课新单词.

2、能用can与can’t表达能与不能做的事。

难点:1、理解hold与touch的含义;

2、复述本课对话。

三、教学准备. 动物(小猫、小狗、小免等)头饰及玩具,篮子、笼子实物, 教学图片,单词卡片、录音机、磁带等。

四、教学步骤. Step1 Warming up 1、师生问候. T: Good morning,boys and girls. Ss: Good morning,Miss Guo. T: How are you? Ss: Fine,thank you,And you? T: I’m fine,too.Thank you 2、复习有关动物词汇

展示一家宠物店. T: Do you like animals? Do you want to have an animal in your home? Ss: Yes. T: Ok. Let’s go to see some animals in a pet shop. 展示动物图片

T: Look! What can you see? Ss: We can see a bird, a monkey, a dog, a cat. 教授并板书:pet shop

通过课前用英语进行问候及展示图片并表演复习有关动物的词汇,让学生感受到英语的气氛。学生对表演动物叫声特别感兴趣,通过表演,既达到了复习的目的,又为后面教学新的有关动物的词汇作好了铺垫。

Step2 Presentation and drill 1、展示一张具有动画和叫声的小猫图片. T: Look! What is this? Ss: It’s a cat. T: Yes, It’s a little cat. We can also say,“It’s a kitten”

展示一张具有动画和叫声的小狗图片。

T: What’s this? Ss: It’s a dog. T: Yes, It’s a little dog. We can also say,“It’s a puppy.”

展示一张具有动画的兔子图片。

T: Oh, Look! A lovely rabbit. Do you like it? Ss: Yes. T: Can you act as a puppy /kitten/rabbit? Now, please do with me:“miao miao”

puppy, “tuzi tuzi” rabbit, rabbit. 教师戴上动物头饰,一边做动作,一边带读,让学生也戴上自做的动物头饰,模仿并跟读。

教授并板书:kitten, puppy, rabbit. (通过展示图片及戴动物头饰并做动作表演,对这几个动物名称的单词进行教学,学生非常感兴趣,尤其是学生通过亲身表演,对这些单词进行记忆印象深刻,同时让学生觉得学英语是一种乐趣,使他们在轻松愉快的情境下掌握新知识.) 2、展示一条可爱的玩具狗. T: Look at the dog. It’s very lovely. Do you want to hold it? Do you want to touch it? 板书并教授单词:hold, touch. 教师边教授边做动作示范,并把玩具狗递给学生让他们拥抱、触摸,边拥抱边说单词hold, 边触摸边说单词touch.让学生在亲身体验中去领会hold和touch的含义和区别。

3、展示实物篮子。(标有价钱10元)

T: What’s this? Ss: It’s a basket.(Help students answer)

T: Do you want to have a basket for your pet? Ss: Yes.

展示实物笼子(标有价钱5元)

T: But baskets are expensive. You can have a cage for your pet.

教授并板书新单词:basket, cage. (通过展示实物对basket与cage进行教学,直观易懂,学生较容易接受,另外通过价格比较,对expensive进行教学。为教学A部分Dongdong与Mummy的对话打下基础)。

4、教授句型Can I have a

…?及其回答。

T: Do you want to have a pet? You can ask your mummy,“Can I have a pet?” Now make a conversation like this: S1: Can I have a kitten? S2: Yes, you can. S1: Can I have a puppy? S2: No, you can’t. 板书句子并带读,然后进行游戏-chain game. 展示动物图片让学生进行分组问答。

S1: Can I have a puppy? S2: No, you can’t. But you can have a rabbit. Can I have a kitten? S3: …

(通过玩链式游戏,让每个学生都有开口说的机会,让他们在游戏的过程中感受英语,运用英语。学生反应热烈,轻松掌握了本课重点句型:Can I have a

…? 的运用。) Step3 Practice 1、Play the tape and have students listen and repeat. 2、分组竞赛(把学生分成两大组,每三人一小组)

Have students read the conversation in PartA in groups. (Three students a group,One acts mummy,One acts the boy—Dongdong,and the third one acts the girl.)When the students work,the teacher moves around the room to offer some help. After five minutes, ask some groups to act out the conversation in front of the class. 通过分组竞赛的方式,激发学生的参与意识和竞争意识,使学生获得成功的喜悦,培养学生团结、互助、合作的精神。

Step4 Consolidation

创设情景,自由会话: 出示一张Pet Shop的牌子及宠物玩具,如小狗、小猫、小免等。

T: Imagine you want to buy a pet. So you and your mother go to a pet shop .Now , you can make a conversation with your partner. One acts mummy. For example: S1: Mummy, Can I have a puppy? S2: No, you cant. S1: Can I have a kitten? S2: Yes, you can.

通过设置情景,让学生在真实的语境下进行交流勾通,把英语运用于生活实践,使英语不再是单纯的语言知识,而是成为人与人之间交流勾通的桥梁,成为生活实际的需要。
