1教学目标

1.learn some vocabulary, phrases and sentences about describing people's looks.

2.Train their speaking and writing skills and improve their communicating abilities.

3.Moral objects: We shouldn't judge other people by their appearances.

2学情分析

To make students master the words, phrases and sentences which are used to describe one’s appearance in an interesting and vivid way, the teacher will use some students’ pictures. The pictures will show a person from the following aspects: the hair style, height, and build.

3重点难点

1. Describe people orally.

2. Write a composition with the teacher's help.

活动1【导入】Lead in

Step1. Leading in.

1. show students some famous stars’ pictures.

2. try to bring out the topic:“ They are beautiful. They are the same but they are also different.” They are different in height, build and hair style. Then, come the topic of this class “What does he look like?”

活动2【讲授】Presentation

1.compare some students’ height to bring out the sentence: What does he look like? He is tall/ short/ of medium height.

2.come some students’ build to bring out the sentence:

What does he look like? He is heavy/ thin/ of medium build. 3. Group work: practice describing other’s build and height.

4. talk about hair styles: Game: Magic stick. Teacher do magic to change the hair style of a person in an funny way to bring out the words and expressions. Words, short sentences and long sentences, step by step. Practicing. 5. finish the exercises on the book.

活动3【练习】Discuss in groups

Practice writing.

1)Just imitate first and then correct their mistakes each other.

2)Give them necessary help.

3)Share their compositions. Try to express their opinions.

4)Stick the excellent ones to the blackboard.
