Section B Listening and Speaking 一、

Teaching goals 1.

To review some new words, phrases and sentence structures about food and how to order food. 2.

To know how to use “Would you like…?”to ask others for their preferences. 3.

To grasp the expressions of ordering food in real life. 4.

To cultivate their feelings and love for their family by making noodles. 二、

Teaching focus & difficulties 1.

Language points: 1)

nouns : noodle, mutton, beef, cabbage, special, bowl, size; 2)

adjectives: large, medium 3)

verbs: would, would like, order, want 4)

sentence structures: What would you like? What kind of noodles would you like? I’d like some beef noodles, please. What size would you like? I’d like a small/medium/large bowl of noodles. 2.

Difficulties 1)

How to identify the usage of countable nouns and uncountable nouns. 2)

How to apply the language to real life to order food. 三、

Teaching procedures (为方便理解，以下内容部分用中文) 1.

Warming up and leading in 课前，和学生们一起唱上节课教过的一首英文歌 Westlife “My love”，调节氛围并引入话题

T: Do you know what Nancy’s love is? S: Food! T: yes, you’re right. And one of my favorite food is Noodles. Today I’m going to share some interesting facts about noodles with you. Do you like noodles? S: Yes! T: Ok, then how much do you know about noodles? （ppt 屏幕上呈现准备好的五个问题，

接下来播放一段关于面条的短视频并让学生在看的过程中关注问题）

教学说明：通过唱英文歌和观看一小段面条的趣味历史，可以瞬间调动学生的学习兴趣并在看的过程中组织语言回答以上问题，从而自然地将学生带入到

英语的语言环境中。其中第五个问题的答案并没有在视频中出现，学生可以结合自己的常识进行回答，然后教师在屏幕上呈现中国四个地方的特色面条并给出相应的英文，这个过程也可以加深学生对于中国面条文化的认识和自豪感，同时中文和英文的转换也会让学生觉得很新奇，为接下来的教学任务进行了很好的铺垫。

Presentation 1)

Present the pictures of new words: Vegetables: potatoes, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, cabbage, coriander Meat: mutton, beef, pork, chicken

教师将新词板书标注音标并带读，运用小游戏“I say, You say”

让学生识记

Listening Listen and write down the food names you hear from the conversation 因为学生基础较好，将教材原本设计的“Listen and Check”练习改为“Listen and write down”

Present different kinds of noodles 牛肉面：beef noodles 西红柿鸡蛋面：tomato and egg noodles 土豆鸡肉面：potato and chicken noodles 羊肉面：mutton noodles 在呈现过程中，引导学生注意名词修饰名词作定语多用单数这一语法现象

Present the new structure T: What kind of noodles would you like? Why？

让学生联系生活实际，用英文谈论自己喜欢的面条并讲述原因

Listening 1)

Pre-listening T：（屏幕上呈现三种尺寸的碗）What sizes of bowl are they? S: A small bow of noodles. A large bowl of noodles. T: A medium bowl of noodles. What size would you like when you usually eat noodles? 通过讨论，让学生熟练表达不同分量的面条

Listening Task One What does the boy order? Task Two (1)

Speaking 1）Pre-speaking 通过讨论，让学生说出餐馆中waiter和customer的常用语言并在屏幕上呈现，进行操练并熟悉

Waiter: May I help you? What would you like? What kind/size would you like? Customer: I’d like…/I’m not sure yet. 2）

场景设定

首先播放轻快的轻音乐，摆好桌子，拿出准备好的毛巾和不同大小的碗，教师将自己打扮成Nancy’s House of Noodles 的老板，叫出事先训练好的学生服务员，手里拿着打印好的不同特色的面条彩色图片，走到讲台前面，向学生呈现餐馆的特色面条

学生根据屏幕上的词组和句型，两两进行角色扮演，十分钟后，教师叫练习好的学生到讲台上扮演顾客和服务员进行实景操练

Discussion 通过今天上课所学的内容，呼吁学生关爱家人，回家用所学知识为家人做上一份美味的面条~ 6.
