本课是闽教版(三年起始)五年级上册中Unit 5 Months of the Year中的 Part A。主要围绕月份展开话题,通过运用When is your birthday? It’s in …这个句型,让学生学会表达自己生日所在的月份及所学月份中的节日,了解中西方节日的差别。本课内容贴近学生生活,容易引起学生兴趣。本教材围绕月份安排了Listen and follow, Ask and answer 等活动,体现了任务型教学理念。

二、学情分析

五年级的学生经过两年多的英语学***多数学生形成了一定的综合语言运用能力。能听懂会说简单的句型,能根据指令做动作,开展活动,对英语有较强的兴趣。但也有部分学生由于种种原因,学习有所落后,自信心不强。

三、教学目标

1、语言知识目标:

1)能听、说、读、写新词汇:month,March, April, May, June, 初步运用wonderful等词汇。

2)能听懂会说句型: When is your birthday?

It’s in …

3)功能:谈论月份及生日时间。

2、语言技能目标

1).能认读所学的月份单词。

2).能正确地使用大小写字母书写有关单词。

3).能用所学语言询问他人生日或描述自己生日所在的月份。

4).学习连缀fl,fr在单词中的读音。

3、情感态度

通过学习,培养学生对生活的热爱。

4、文化意识

了解某些月份的名称由来、书写、缩写等。

四、教学重难点

教学重点:能够听、说、认读8个月份的名称并能书写其缩写形式,能够运用句型:When is your birthday ? My birthday is in …

教学难点:month,March, April, May, June的发音,正确书写8个月份的缩写形式。五、教学过程:

Step 1: Warming up

1、 Greetings.

2、 Free talk:

3、 Say a rhyme: October.

【设计意图:通过与学生之间的对话,复习了所学的有关月份的单词与句子,为新课的学习打下了语言知识基础,同时用rhyme活跃课堂氛,激发学生学习的兴趣与欲望,并为接下来的呈现搭了一个小平台。】

Step 2: Review and lead in

1、 T: From the rhyme ,we can get a word of month .That is October.Can you say some other words like this?

S:July ,August ,September...

T:Yes .These are the words about months.

(PPT呈现日历,教学单词month)

2、Look,read and match.

T:Do you know any holiday about months?

Ss:Teachers’Day is in September.

T:Now look,read them and match.

3、T: And do you know how many months are there in a year?

Ss: There are twelve months in a year。

Step 3: Presentation

1、Present the text

1)T: First please look at this picture, can you guess which month is it?

初步了解My birthday is in -----

2)T: What about Yang Ming and Lily?

Q1:When is Yang Ming’s birthday?

Q2: When is Lily’s birthday?

【设计意图:通过小朋友的生日照片,让学生直观地明白,可以用:My birthday is in ___?来表达自己的生日月份,化解了学习的难点和重点,也为接下来的语言学习打下基础。同时引入到课文学习,学生带着问题,初读课文,能帮助学生快速获取自己所需的信息。】2、learn new words and sentence

1)Q1:When is Yang Ming’s birthday?

It’s in March.

Learn March : car star March

(采用自然拼读法,让学生根据所学过的音节来学习新的单词。)

2)T: How does Lily ask ? Can you find out the sentence?

S: When is your birthday?

Learn “When is your birthday? It’s in ….

Game :Happy birthday .(学生拍手说:When is your birthday?当生日帽戴在谁的头上时,该生要说:It’s in ….或:My birthday is in ……?)

3)Yang Ming’s birthday is in March ,it is also in spring .There are three months in spring? Do you know?

They are March ,April and May .

4)Learn April

7、小组活动:三子棋

教师运用month, March, April, May, June,July, August, September, October这8个单词形成棋局,全班学生分成两大组进行活动。

【设计意图:学生带着问题再读课文,继续解决对单词的学习,对课文进一步加深了理解。采用的小游戏能让学生对所学的月份单词了更清晰的认识与辨别,清晰的输入能够为接下来的输出的顺利进行打下坚实的基础。】

Step 4:Learn the English Sounds.

1、T:Look!March,April and May are all in spring.I like spring.There are many flowers in spring.And we can fly kites in spring.

2、Show the words fly and flower,learn the sound fl.

3、Show the sound fr,Ss read,比较fl和fr的发音。

4、Show fruits and Friday,learn the sound fr.

5、Play the radio of Listen and learn the English sounds on P37,Ss listen and imitate.

6、Show the words flag,floor,free,from...,Ss try to read them.

【设计意图:通过单词引出字母组合,让学生探索读音,通过对比引导学生辩音,从而学会了字母组合发音的不同之处,培养了学生自主探索的能力。】

Step 5: Consolidation

1、 Game:小小代言人

出示几个名人的生日,请几个当代言人,其他同学猜,问答:

When is your birthday ?

Is your birthday in ....?

It’s in / My birthday is in ….

2、小记者活动:Students fill in the card. (学生交流)

3、Write down your family member’s birthday.渗透情感教育

4、Make a short summary of this class.

【设计意图:语篇教学后,不仅要巩固和拓展语篇教学中学到的新知识,还要培养学生读和写的能力,通过小组成员之间的问答,完成信息填写,学生的合作能力也得到了进一步的提高。在让他们写下家庭成员的生日时,渗透情感教育,培养学生关心他人,热爱生活的好品质,同时要有一颗感恩的心,关爱父母。】

Step 6: Homework

1、 Listen to the tape, and read the text five times。

2、 Write the new words 5 times :month ,March ,April ,May , June

3、 Finish the activity book of PartA.

4、 Use English to ask your other family member’s birthday and remember it . 【设计意图:及时有效的家庭作业是学生对本课所学知识的自我检测及提升,能把所学的知识从课堂内延伸利用到课外,充分发挥语言学习的功用性。】
