一、Teaching contents: 本课的教学内容为2001年课标版七年级下册Unit7 What does he look like?写作课

二、Teaching aims：

1. Knowledge aim：

1) vocabulary：curly/straight/tall/medium/height/(be) of medium height/thin/heavy…

2) sentences：He/ She is….; He/ She has…

2. Ability aim：

能掌握并运用本单元出现的描述人物外貌特征的词组及句型，并能结合实际生活进行灵活运用这些词组及句型描述别人的外表, 提高写作水平。

2. Emotion aim：

1）能在小组活动中积极与他人合作，相互帮助，共同完成学习任务, 尽情享受学习的乐趣。

2）让学生不要以貌取人，懂得欣赏他人。

三、Teaching important and difficult points: 1. Teaching important points：掌握本单元单词、短语，描述人物外貌特征。

2. Teaching difficult points：准确、熟练地从外貌，性格，爱好等各个方面去描述人物特征. 四、Teaching procedures: Step 1. Step 2: Leading-in 1 Watch a video 《熊出没》

2 describe two persons in English（熊大与光头强）

Step 3:Guessing game 1

One student turns back to the blackboard to guess who he/she is when the others describe the person in the picture: Mr. Zhang, Huang Chaoxu, Chen Yuxuan, Huang Jinxi. Step 4:Writing

1Show structure chart and vocabulary about the appearance, personality, hobbies, abilities and other features. 2 Show the picture and the sample.

3 Fill in the blanks with the correct words.

Step 5: Group work

1 Ss in each group describe a person with the vocabulary that they have learnt

2 Ss from two or three groups read their compositions one by one as quickly as they can.

3 Ss write down the compositions and the teacher check and correct them 4 Share some compositions Step 6 :Don’t judge someone by appearance.
