学情分析

学生已经学习过what去引导的特殊疑问句，本单元将具体学习询问他人外貌。学生的基础知识比较扎实，单词和句型已经有一定的基础。可以培养学生自由表达的能力，充分发挥学生的自主能动性。

教材分析

本单元将学习询问及描述他人外貌，在本课时，主要涉及描述他人的身高，身材，发型。包括高矮、胖瘦、中等身高、长发、短发、卷发、直发。学生需要能够询问他人外貌，并做简单的回答描述。

教学目标

1. 学生能够简单的描述People’s looks, 完成简单的对话。

2. 学生懂得尊重他人，不以貌取人。爱惜自己，不以貌断定自己。Never judge a person by his look. I like you as who you are! 四．

教学过程

Step One: 3min-video lesson Talk about Ma Yun. He is short. He is thin. He isn’t handsome either. He has failed, but he never give up. Thus, he is successful and very famous now. No matter what we look like now, if we work hard, we can be better and better! Step Two: Lead in That is Ma Yun. Now I want to introduce you my best friend, Selina. She is really beautiful. She is smart and clever. Also, she is kind. Do you want to know her? What do you want to know about her? Her look? Right? That is today’s topic!

Unit 9 What does he look like? Step Three: What does he look like? When we ask about people’s looks, usually we can use “what does he look like?” or we can say “what does she lool like?” Now, repeat after me.And we also can say : What does Yao Ming look like? What does Ma Yun look like? What does Sa look like?

What does Sb look like?... Pretty Good! Step Four: Learning Objectives So today we will learn about people’s looks. In this class, we will learn some sentences and words about people’s looks. They are hair, height, and build. And try to describe people’s looks. In the end, if you can do it, it will be perfect! Step Five: Words Learning First, let us learn ‘height’.

What does he look like? He is tall. Tall, tall, tall. He is short. Short , short, short. And he is of medium height. Of medium height, of medium height, of medium height. God job! Well, let us have a try! You please. You please!... Second, Build.

describe one of your teachers, listen carefully and guess who is she. You are so clever! Let’s listen more! And tell me what Dave looks like. Step Eight：Sentences Practice. After learning. I think you can be describe poeple’s looks. Now let us have a try.

Four questions has shown in the Golden Eggs. Fill the blanks and divide the learned words into “has house” and “is house”. Sentences have shown, students should tell from right and wrong. Step Twelve: Check Think about your loved parents or shoes, and try to describe them. Step Thirteen: Moral Aims You all like your teachers and your parents. Do you like yourselves? Do you want to change your looks? We like you as who you are, not what you look like. So you should like yourselves too!
