一、教学目标（围绕核心素养的培养）：

1. 语言能力目标：

1) 能掌握以下单词：动物类：animal, tiger, elephant, panda, lion, koala, giraffe,

描述性形容词cute, lazy, smart, beautiful, scary,

地名：Australia, South Africa

2) 能掌握以下句型：

2. 学习能力目标：

自主预习单词，积累课外词汇，通过口语操练形成以下读写技能：

① To describe animals

② To talk about preferences

③ To tell the origin of some animals 3. 思维文化品质培养目标：

动物和人类都生活在同一地球上，动物是我们的朋友。鼓励学生更多地了解动物，广泛深入地学习相关地理，文化知识，更好地关爱动物，保护动物。

二、教学重难点

1. 教学重点：

1) 学会描述动物的性格及特点。

2) 学会表达喜欢某类动物及说明喜欢的原因。

2. 教学难点：

学会自己描写动物的外貌，性格和出处

三、教学过程

Ⅰ. Warming-up and lead-in

1.

The teacher shows the class some pictures of animals and asks the students “Do you like animals?” Then have them watch a video.

2.

After watching the video, the teacher asks the students “How many animals can you see in the video? What are they?”.

3.

Guide the students to read names of the animals.

1.

The teacher asks the students: “Do you want to know more about elephants? ”

“What do you want to know about elephants?”

(智慧环节：发起讨论

- “What do you want to know about elephants?”学生跟帖表达自己的观点）

2.

The teacher asks the students to finish reading the passage and the exercises.

(智慧环节：通过平板发布文章及习题，学生作答后统计争取率。预计最后一道题错误的同学可能比较多，因此提出讨论题：What are mammals? 设置提示信息并抢答，让同学们回答。）

3. Listening

Back to the vocabulary of animals, and the teacher asks the students: “Are they mammals? Where can we see them?” The students may answer: “In the zoo”. Then let’s listen to the conversations happened in a zoo. (1b) Tell Ss to listen to the tape and check the animals they hear in 1a.

III. Production 1. The teacher inspires the students to tell the description words they know. Then asks them to work in pairs and make their own conversations in the zoo.

2.Group work

Ask each group to discuss and write a short passage to introduce one of the animals.Then the “speaker” of each group should make the report. （智慧环节：学生每组派代表抽取所要描写的动物，再根据所发讲义的信息提示展开小组讨论，并合作完成短文。各组组长上传最终短文并挑选“speaker”展示短文，教师通过PK环节给各组评分。）

V.

Homework 预习2d. 完成看图写话。

（智慧环节：教师上传两幅漫画，学生任选一副，根据四格漫画内容完成写话任务，并完成语音朗读2d上传。）

VI. 教学反思

1.在讨论中应更好地规范学生的语言，要求他们尽量不说中文，用英语交流。

2. 在总结mammal的特点时，应该由学生来总结归纳，而不是由教师来总结。

3. 在介绍动物的来源地时，可以插入一些更有趣味的信息，比如提问学生：狮子和老虎谁更厉害？再顺势告诉他们，狮子和老虎是不大可能碰在一起的，因为他们来自不同的地方，从而引起他们的关注。
