教学过程：

Stage 1. Words presentation

学习用具

Step 1. T. presents several pictures about animals on the multiple media (such as, tiger, panda, elephant) and asks students “What kind of animals do you like?”.

Step 2: Indicates students to talk about “Why do you like…” and “Because it is…” Meanwhile, T. teacher

Guides students to express their preferences on animals by using “cute, beautiful, lazy, smart, fun ” to describe animals. Step 3: Ss do a guessing game, for example, “what animals are they?”

Several students give their answers. Step 4: Ss do exercise 1a, match the words with the animals in the picture. Stage 2: Listening

Step 1: Listen to 1b and check the animals they hear in 1a (tiger, panda, elephant, lion and giraffe) Step 2: Students listen to the tape again and find out the answers for three questions.1. What are the girls’ favorite animals ? 2.Does the boy like giraffes ? Why ? 3. What does the girl think of koalas ? Step 3: Student read the tape script and read after the tape sentence by sentence. Stage 3: Speaking Step 1: T. indicates students to pair work. One ask “why do you like animals?”, the other answers “because it is …” First, T. sets an example for students. Then pairs do the task.

Step 2: Three pairs come to the platform to present their performance. T. gives comments. Step 3: T. indicates students to do group work, S1 “Let’s see … first !”; S2 “Why do you want to see …?”

S3 “I don’t like … , I like …

.Let’s see them first.”

Step 3: Students in group of four practice the conversation and then two groups present their performance.
