Reading exercise on P54, the Amazon Rainforest. 1.Read and finish the exercise on P54. 2.Discuss on ways to protect the rainforest.

Before writing In pairs, get Ss to look at the photos and discuss the following questions: What are they doing in each picture? 2. While writing

Ss follow the teacher’s leading. Describe the pictures like:

Two workers are digging holes on the ground. b. Work in pairs to think of a good beginning and ending .Then choose some conjunctions to organize your own writing. c.

Ask Ss to describe the pictures using the present continuous tense

d. Lead Ss to organize a writing, Add a beginning and ending and use some conjunctions: what’s more, first…second…so because…. 3.post writing:

Give an example of how to correct and evaluate a composition .Then encourage them to check with each other by themselves

Ss observe the teacher’s correcting and check the work with each other.

c.

Lead students to learn the ways of organization a writing. d.

Encourage some to read their better work.(Build their confidence.) Step3:Summary Help the Ss to summarize what they have learned in this unit. Step 4:Homework

1.Go over this unit. 2.Rewrite your own writing and read it to the partner.
