一、教材分析

本节课的授课理念源于牛津英语七年级下册Module 4 Colorful Life 的Unit 8 From Hobby to Career，本单元以“爱好与事业”为话题开展相应的听、说、读、写活动。Reading部分通过著名天文学家Patrick Moore的自述，让学生初步了解到爱好与未来事业之间的关系。本节课选取的第一篇阅读材料来自Unit 8 From Hobby to Career中的More Practice –

Never give up，该文介绍了著名生物学家Jane Goodall将自己的爱好发展成事业的故事。通过阅读文章，学生们能够对爱好与未来事业之间的关系有更深的理解；同时也认识到将爱好发展为未来事业必须通过不懈的努力。本节课选取的第二篇阅读材料改编自人教版高中英语必修四Unit 1 Women of Achievement中的Using Language –

Why Not Carry on Her Good Work?，该文讲述了中国著名妇科疾病专家林巧稚的故事。通过阅读文章，学生们能够了解林巧稚的生平；同时也可以对如何选择职业、如何取得成就进行深入思考。两篇文章的结构如下：

Para. 2 - 3: When Jane was 16 years old

Para. 5: Now

Para. 4: When Jane was 26 years old

Title: Why not carry on her good work?

Para. 1: The reason why I did research on great women of China

就主题而言，本课以“爱好与事业”为话题，“事业”一词对初一的孩子来说或许比较陌生，但却是他们在未来必须面对的重要问题。根据国家新基础教育课程计划规定，我国青少年在初一、初二阶段要进行职业生涯探索，中学生要尽早的认识自我、认识职业、认识教育与职业的关系、学会职业决策，从小根据自己感兴趣的职业目标，从知识、技能、综合素质各方面锻炼自己的竞争力。本节课旨在让孩子们通过阅读著名人物的生平，对职业生涯进行初步的思考与探索。

就文本而言，第一篇阅读材料遵循了人物介绍典型的行文特征

–

chronological order，思路清晰、语言简单；第二篇阅读材料有着完整的故事结构

–

起因、经过、结果，且文末的省略号为学生的后续讨论活动做好了铺垫。

就语言而言，第一篇阅读材料中出现了很多好的表达，如：

be interested in, dream of, make her dreams come true, work hard and never give up等，可引导学生在语言输出中进行使用；第二篇阅读材料经改编降低了难度，但部分词汇仍可能对学生的阅读构成障碍，为解决该问题，文章将附上词表供学生阅读。

二、学情分析

初一（3）班的课堂气氛活跃，学生在上课时都能做到注意力集中、积极参与；但班级内学生的英语水平有一定的差异，尤其在英语口语方面。在以往的课堂教学中，学生有较强的表达欲望，但表达能力有待提高，因而在课堂教学中可进一步放手，引导学生积极、主动地发表个人观点，锻炼其口语表达能力。初一作为小学、初中的衔接阶段，课堂教学需兼顾趣味性，因而可通过游戏、小组活动等方式组织教学，让学生在愉快的课堂气氛下学习获取语言知识、锻炼语言能力。

三、教学目标

1. 语言能力：

学生能够掌握基本的阅读微技能，如：寻读、略读；

学生能够基于文本细节信息，分析人物性格形象；

学生能够通过阅读获取和梳理文章信息，并将信息加以整合、对比、内化、输出，培养其整合信息的能力；

学生能够通过分析人物形象，培养其批判性思维能力；

学生能够通过读后的建议环节，培养其知识运用能力及创造性思维能力；

3. 文化意识

1)

学生能够通过阅读文本，进一步了解爱好与职业的关系，并认识到如何才能将爱好发展为未来事业；

学生能够培养积极健康的爱好，树立正确的人生理想，并为实现自己的理想而努力奋斗；

4. 学习能力

学生能够专注文本学习，学会小组团结协作，培养积极思考和合作学习的品质意识。

四、教学重难点

学生能够应用寻读和略读的阅读策略了解文章大意、获取细节信息；

学生能够基于文本细节信息，归纳人物性格形象；
