一、教学内容分析：

本单元的主题为“保护树木”，主阅读篇章是一篇Rebecca采访Dr Jones的访谈记录，属于说明文。访谈介绍了树木在对抗空气污染、提供木材等方面为人类做出的重要贡献，同时呼吁人们停止大量砍伐树木，好好保护树木。文章分为引言和访谈正文，访谈正文由3轮对话组成，文中大量使用代词、连词实现句子内、句子之间的衔接。学生通过阅读，梳理出树木对人类的贡献，提高爱护环境、保护树木的意识。

二、学情分析：

初一（2）班的大部分学生对英语学习有一定的兴趣，课堂上能够按照教师的指令完成各项课堂学习活动。部分学生口头表达的意愿较强，能够积极举手发言，但也有一些学生课堂效率低，不愿意落实笔头的练习。学生普遍的思维水平比较浅显，思维的逻辑性、批判性和创新性都有待提高，因此教师要通过不同层次的阅读任务，引导学生发展思维品质。

三、教学目标：

1. 语言能力：

（1）能够通过标题、插图、引言等，理解文章的主题意义；

（2）能够在篇章中梳理和理解树木对人类的贡献、人们砍伐树木的行为、人们应该如何保护树木等关键信息；

（3）能够口头表达自己对于树木的看法，说出树木的作用。

2. 思维品质：

（1）能够通过上下文，推断出代词的指代意义；

（2）能够借助代词、连词等，梳理出段落中句子之间的逻辑关系；

（3）通过比较两种访谈的方式，初步形成批判性的思维。

3. 文化品格：

通过了解树木对人类的重要贡献，提高保护树木的意识。

4. 学习能力：

保持英语阅读的兴趣，养成英语阅读的习惯和方法。

四、重难点：

1. 重点：在篇章中理解树木的重要贡献和保护树木的做法，并梳理出段落中句子之间的逻辑关系；

2. 难点：篇章中的指代、省略等衔接手段和句子逻辑关系对于学生的理解都有一定的难度。

五、教学步骤：

Procedures Step 1: Lead-in Teacher’s work Play a short video about cutting down trees and ask “she”

is in the video. Step 2: Pre-reading Guide the students to look at the title and pictures of the interview and answer some questions about the topic and genre of the interview. Step 3: Careful Show some reading questions and guide the students to read the introduction and the three turns of the interview carefully. Step Post-reading 4: Guide the students to change Rebecca’s words into two questions and compare the two interviews. Students’ work Watch the video and answer the question orally. Look at the title and pictures of the interview and answer the questions. Purpose To draw students’

attention and lead in the topic of trees. To learn to predict from title and pictures and focus on the topic and features of the interview. Step 5: Summary Ask the students to sum up how trees help us and draw a mind map. Step6: Copycat Introduce the (Homework) assignment to the students. Read the introduction and three turns of the interview in sequence and underline the answers on their books. Change what Rebecca says into two questions and compare the two interviews. Then act out the interview in the textbook. Sum up how trees help us according to Rebecca, Dr Jones and their own ideas. Then draw a mind map. Make a dialogue about how water helps us in pairs and write down their dialogue. To find out important information in the text and work out the logic among sentences in each paragraph. To focus on the features of an interview and think critically. To rearrange the information from the interview in a logical way. To consolidate what they have learnt in this lesson.
