Step 1 Lead-in 1. Greeting 2. Enjoy a song , then show the title “ Unit 6 Colours”

Step 2 Presentation and Practice 1. Quick response Yang Ling has a lot of colourful pictures for us. Can you say out?

Say out the words of the pictures to review the words they have learned. 2. We have learned a lot of colours, three of them, the first letter is b. What are they?

blue, brown, black 3. Guess: What’s this? What colour is it?

It’s a…/ It’s…

Show the picture of a pen/ a car/ a banana/ a panda one by one. 4. Chant: colour, colour, what colour is it?

Yellow, yellow, it’s yellow.

Banan, banana, it’s a banana.

Use the other words to instead of banana. 5.1) Miss Pan can do magic things.

Change the blue water into green.

Change the yellow water into orange.

2) Learn “green” and “orange” and show the same pronunciation “ dog, not, doctor”

3) Use the pictures and say out.

Look at my _______. It’s _________. 6. Yang Ling can do magic things like me.

Watch the story and try to choose: How many times did Yang Ling show her skirt? 7. Watch again and do the changes of colours. 8. Open books and find “ What did she say when she showed the skirt each time?”

Read What Yang Ling said after tape. Step 3 Consolidation 1. Read the whole story after tape. 2. Is Yang Ling happy or unhappy when she is doing the magic thing?

Read the story happily. 3. Discuss in pairs the finish the blanks. 4. Do magic things of caps.

Fill in the blanks first and then try to colour the caps of Yang Ling. Step 4 Homework 1. Read the dialogue after tape for five times. 2. Copy words: orange, green, yellow, black, blue, brown, white, red
