教材《Can you tell me about Christmas?》,是一节巩固课,第一单元已经学习过感恩节,五年级上册学过万圣节和复活节,本单元主要围绕西方重要节日“Christmas”这一话分析
题开展,谈论圣诞节的时间和庆祝方式。
六年级学生争强好胜,喜欢竞争,他们有一定的自主预习,自主交流的学习能力,但提炼、归纳总结能力不是很强。通过前10册的学习,已经初步掌握了一般现在时和学情情态动词can等相关语法知识的正确用法,而且五年级已经学习过万圣节和复活节,学生对这个内容并不陌生。现在是网络信息时代,学生能从不同的地方了解到各种节分析
日的相关知识。所以学习这一单元的知识,既复习了以前的知识,又强化了新知识,学生不仅很感兴趣,而且有些了解,难度不大。

【设计意图】通过猜图片内容,激发生对学过节日的思考和复习,生看图了解圣诞节,然后让生提出他们想探究的问题,发散学生的思维,带着问题进行课文学习,深入思考,培养学生思维逻辑性和开放性。

3. Repeat and answer (1)When is Christmas? (2)What do we do and see on Christmas? When Ss answer the first question, T gives the scaffolding: It’s on the ___ of the ______. (Ss learn word: December. T helps Ss remember the twelve months together with the game of looking for friends.) When Ss answer the second question, T shows four pictures of Christmas trees, presents, cards and lights to support them to remember. And T writes main points on the blackboard. 【设计意图】2个核心问题牵动进一步学习课文细节。在学生回答问题时,教师通过提供句型框架或图片来帮助学生完成。在学习December时,通过“找朋友”游戏复习已经学过的11个月份,调动学生兴趣,对之前学过知识进行温故。

以拆礼物的形式展开活动,激发学生兴趣。快速闪现短文内容猜测节日;匹配描述节日的短文与图片,训练学生快速阅读能力以及对中西方重要节日的了解情况。

操作方式: Present three: A letter (All the Ss open the last present box.) T shows a letter about the favourite festival: The Dragon Boat Festival. It’s a letter to his friend, Bob. (Ss read the letter together) T gives Ss the structure of the letter that tells about the favourite festival. Ss practice with the example of the Mid-Autumn Festival. One to two Ss present in oral and then all the Ss write. Two or three Ss shows their works and T gives evaluations.
【设计意图】本课任务是学生能够简单介绍自己最喜欢的节日。教师首先呈现一篇小习作,学生再在老师提供的书信框架帮助下,先口头练习再笔头书写,最后全班展评,学生综合运用语言的能力有所训练。
(六)小结与布置作业

操作方式: Ss and T summary together with the writing on the blackboard. Homework: For all: 1. Copy new words three times. 2. Complete the writing.
