Teaching Preparation
1.老师准备:panda snake 图片印度舞蛇视频教学PPT
2.学生准备:课前搜集有关熊猫和蛇的习性的资料。
Teaching Hours: Forty minutes
Teaching Steps:
Step 1 Warming up(预热课堂,调动英语思维)
Who is my mind reader?谁与我心有灵犀?
(老师分别给出三个单词,请学生猜老师为什么会给出这个单词,鼓励打开嘴巴,展开想象与思考,用英语表达自己的想法。其中snake, lucky是本课的四会单词。)
(1)warm I t’s very warm today, do you like warm days?
(2)Snake snakes 领读,引导学生问Do you like snakes? What’s your favourite animal?
(3)Lucky
T: Ms Duan is lucky, I am so lucky to be your English teacher today. I am lucky to be your teacher. Are you lucky? Yes we’re all lucky because we can learn English together. And today we will learn Module 7 Unit 1 I don’t believe it.
老师的过渡语言反复用到lucky这个单词,让学生理解并运用这个单词。
Step 2 Lead-in(课题导入,小活动联系旧知,突破生词believe)
(1)出示课题并领读课题, I don’t believe it. I believe it!
出示单词卡片,教读believe。
做个小活动,Believe it or not ! (学生听老师说的句子,根据自己的判断来说I believe it! I don’t believe it!)
Eg: I like English. I can swim very fast!
She ate a hamburger yesterday.
I love you! I can speak Japanese!
Step 3 New text(分段听读、解决重难点)
1.Listen only and answer the questions.
Who gives Daming a present?
T: What is the present? Do you want to watch the DVD? No problem, later on we will watch a part of the DVD.
Do you like animals? Which do you prefer, pandas or snakes? Before this class, you have found a lot of information about animals, so what do you know about pandas?(鼓励学生把自己调查的有关熊猫用英语说出来,老师板书总结。)
2.Please read the first paragraph and underline the sentences about pandas. (训练学生在阅读中找信息)
They eat for twelve hours a day. They love bamboo.
T:How long do you eat for a day?
What else do they eat?
3.We have known so much about pandas, how about snakes?
It is … It can …(指导学生用it来描述)
T:You are so great! Here is a video about snakes for you. Please look.
(观看印度舞蛇短片。)
T:It’s interesting, isn’t it? How do you think of the DVD? Do you have any questions to ask?
(观影之后,启发学生发问,让学生不仅会回答问题,更能把自己的问题提出来, 带着大家共同的困惑再来跟读课文,解决问题)
Let’s listen and repeat, then answer two questions
“ Do snakes like music? Why does the snake come out of the box? 4.How does Daming like the DVD. Let’s listen, repeat and answer this question.
5.Read in pairs then act it out.
Step 4 Drills 用自己的话来描述熊猫和蛇这两种动物。
1. Look at the blackboard, we have known so much about these two animals, can you use your own words to say something about them. For example:
I love pandas, they are very cute. They live in China. They love bamboo
and they eat for twelve hours a day.
2. Practice in pairs, then you can show us.
Step 5 Practice
Write a riddle about animals.
1.Teacher gives an example
This animal has got four legs. It eats grass. It doesn’t eat other animals. It is black and white. It can run fast. It looks like a horse. What is it?
2.Let the students try to write their own riddles about animals.
3.Choose some children to read their riddles in the front.
Step6 Homework
1.Read the text by yourselves.
2.Please share your riddles with your family and friends.
