A Teaching Design For Story time of Unit 1

学情分析：人教PEP版英语四年级下Unit1的内容，紧紧围绕my school的主题，学生学习并掌握了有关学校教室、场馆及其位置的词语，询问确认是否是某个场所的句型。通过A、B两部分词句的学习，学生能够通过看图了解单元话题及相关文化知识，了解核心词汇与句型出现的语用环境，为学习单元Story部分的板块做好了准备。

教学目标：

1、复习巩固有关学校教室、场馆及其位置的词语。

2.能理解并且在情景中正确使用已学句型，能够在教师的帮助下表演故事。

3.培养学生的语言运用能力，并在英语学习中感受到乐观开朗的氛围，敢于表达，善于合作沟通。

教学重难点：能够在Story活动中巩固运用所学句型Do you have a …? Where is ...?等。帮助学生获得新目标语言：It’s time for... 教学步骤

Step1

Warm up

Short greetings and “Let’s chant” to make a warm enthusiasm.

Step2

Review

Use free talk between the teacher and the students to revise the words and sentences taught in Part A&B. Boys and girls,Look at these pictures.Let’s pratice like this: -----Do you have a ...? -----Yes,we do. -----Where is it? -----It’s on the ...floor.

Lead in

Show pictures about different places to lead to the new content .Help Ss to use the expressions they have learned .Connect the expressions with their school.Remind the Ss to notice the a new character:Mr. Hippo ----Now let Mr. Hippo use the pictures to introduce his school.Look at this.Answer me:What places are they?How do you like it ? -----......

Step4

Story time 1.Use the flash to present Ss with “ Story”

2.Answer the questions according to the story. 3.Read and act in details. 4.Use the flashes to get much more practice about the new sentences.

Consolidation Provide different kinds of pictures to guide Ss to use the proper sentence patterns. Have a

competition among the Ss .Well-done Ss will be praised.Claim who is the winner.

Let’s sing

Sing the song “Our school ”together and preparing for making an end.
