主题:Unit 2 The cows are drinking water. 类型:New The Teaching objectives:The students can understand and master new words like : mountain(山),sun(太阳),wind (风),cow(牛),rabbit (兔子)and so on. The Skills objectives:the students can understand the sentence “be (am / is / are)+ doing”, and use it to express what things or humans doing. The emotional objectives:The students can develop the habits of loving animals and caring about other people as well as developing the communication between them. The Resources Preparations:PPT 、pictures、flash(animation)、videos、prizes Preparations before class: Divide the students into 6 groups (6-8 students in a group). Students can collect the stars by answering questions. The Process of Teaching:
Step 1:Greeting and Warming up 1, Greeting with the students
T: Hello! Boys and girls.
Ss: Hello! Miss Mou.
...... 2, Warming up
Play a song of McDonald’s farm. Invite Ss sing the song with the T.
Step 2:Presentation 1, Show a picture about cows from the song of McDonald’s farm.
Lead Ss to recognize the picture.

T: Boys and girls, just now we have sang a song. Now look at this picture. What’s this ?
S1: (It’s a cow.)
T: What are these? (What are they?)
S2: ......
......
T: They are cows. (let Ss pay attention to the item on the blackboard.) Ok, boys and girls, Today, we will go to unit 2 to see cows and other animas. First, let’s review some new words. 2, Show the PPT pictures about news words:
mountain(山),sun(太阳),wind (风),cow(牛),rabbit (兔子),birds (鸟),duck (鸭子),hide-and-seek (捉迷藏). And invite Ss to use the sentence “It’s......” to describe what they are seeing. 3, The T teaches Ss to read all new words, and then divide the whole Ss to 2 groups to read. At last ask the whole Ss to read words together. 4, Play a game (Turntable game)
Fist, let the students read and remember the words on last PPT for 1 min and then compete for answering.
At the end of the game, the T asks all students to read all the words together. (Chinese and English) 5, Learning sentences to describe pictures.
In this part, the T show some cinema graphs and lead Ss to understand and can describe the pictures by using The Present Continuous Tense. T: Boys and girls, look at this picture. In this picture. We can say “It’s a Sun”. how about this picture, what can we say?
...... T: Yes, we can say “The Sun is shining”. (The T writes the sentence on the blackboard). There everyone, pay attention to the underlined words. We can use it do 2
describe this picture. 6, Passage Learning ①
Before learning, the T shows some questions about the passage and lead Ss understand what the questions are. And play a video about the passage for Ss watching. ②
After play the video for once, the T asks Ss to open the book on page 17. And then lead Ss to read the passage while listening to the video again. ③
After finishing the listening, the T lead Ss to analysis the questions again and give Ss 1-2 minutes to let them discuss the questions in groups, and then ask some Ss to answer the questions.
T: Boys and girls look at the first question, what’s the Sun doing?
S1: Shining. (in this part, if students can’t describe in English, they can use in Chinese )
...... 7, Show all the important sentences from the passage as the examples of teaching Ss how to understand and using “be (am / is / are)+ doing”. And the T teaches Ss to read all sentences and let them read by themselves for once. 8,
Activity
Divide the passage into some parts. Then ask Ss read and each group commend 1 student to read the passage .At the same time, the others give the points to value.
Ask each group read the parts in turn. (if there is still enough time)
