Analysis of the teaching material: The story is about Mike and Tim drawing in the park. They see a tree,some flowers,a boat and a river. Tim wants to draw them. However, he draws the tree and the flowers very well.He can’t draw the boat very well,but he tries in the end. The story helps students to know the meaning of insisting. They also

know that they should do their best to do things. Analysis of the students: Students are in Grade 4. They have some basic knowledge of the story and they can understand the main meaning of the story according to the pictures.

But there are many new words such as “flowers,boat,river,easy,difficult”

etc. So it’s still a little difficult for them to read the text and act out the dialogues. Teaching aids:
