Stage 2（3mins)：

Revision

1.Review the different kinds of food in different countries,such as Indian curries, American chocolate cookies, Russian black bread, South African beef curry, Japanese sushi and so on. Stage 3（5mins)：Pre – listening 1.Show the picture of 1a and answer several questions such as what kind food can you see? How do they feel? 2.Ask the students to read the form in 1b and predict the answers.

T: The form in 1b may help you understand 1a better. Now read it and predict the answers. Stage 4（7mins)：While – listening 1.Play the tape recording of 1a and fill in the blanks in 1b. T: Check the answers with your partners.

2. Play the tape flash of 1a and find the useful expressions.

T:Let’s listen to 1a and find the useful expressions that the hosts used at the beginning and the end of the opening ceremony. ... T: You did quite well. I’d like you to remember these useful expressions. Stage 5（10mins)：Post- listening 1.Play the tape recording of 1a. T: Let’s follow the tape and read 1a aloud. Please pay attention to the emotion and intonation.

2.Ask the students to act as hosts with their partners according to 1a.

1.Learn some new words and listen, complete the conversation in 2a. 2.Check the answers and finish 2b. 3. Fnd some useful expressions in 2a and role play part 2 with ordering different dishs with useful expressions in 2a. Stage 7（2mins)：Summarizing and assigning HMK 1.Encourage the Ss to summarize the key points
