The teacher should help the students use English in a given language situation with the help of these tools such as pictures, computer multimedia, video and so on. The students are the main role in class, and the teacher must follow that and make the use of conversations among students, and there should be more practice. 三、Textbook Analysis：

This is the edition of Ren’ai Grade 8 first period of Unit5 Topic2 Section A.According to the conversation among Miss.Wang and Helen about Li Hong ’s problem,and then come up the key sentences “How is she feeling now? She is sad now.” to express one’s feeling and try to help others. 四、Studying situation analysis: This term, I still continue teaching Grade eight, Class One and Class Two. The students of the two classes are not good at English learning because of their poor basic skills from Grade

Seven, which is not easy to study well, so the teacher must care for them and encourage them to have confidence to try their best to study English well. The students, especially boys, who are not interested in learning English, instead, girls are better than boys in many aspects. So the teacher must adopt different methods and activities to make them study better. 五、Teaching Aims: （一）Knowledge Aims: 1.

Teaching Activities 1.

Greetings between teacher and students.(T: Good morning, boys and girls! Are you happy today?Ss: Yes, we are happy.) 2.

Asks and answers between students.Using the structure Designing purposes Conversations between teacher and students, which will improve students’ interests about English learning, and Step1 Greeting & Leading-in we have learned “How are you pictures of the

feeling today?-I’m happy/sad......”

Review some words about feelings. 4.

Teacher show some pictures and ask Ss to guess the words and learn these new words. Step2 Presentation 1.

Teacher shows pictures and words will make them remember better.

Lead students to let them guess the words, then learn new words as give the key phrases of them(exam: take/have an exam,do well in the exam...) study the relevant phrases about them, and then let 2.

A picture of some questions, students to think and go on the question “Why do we have to study”and lead Ss to think how to answer this question, and what word should we use.(→because) 3.

Show the key grammar about “because” and ask students to practice. 4.

Ask some students to do according to the pictures and questions, and grasp the grammar “because”.

How to express our feelings and know how to solve our bad feelings. To enhance their mastery degree with the help of exercises and make a summary to let them remember the key points better.

Teaching Reflections:

The interesting pictures and video made the students more active and interested in learning English, and the grammar of “because” is not difficult for them to understand, but the transformation between “because” and “because of”, which is easy to make a mistake. Teacher should improve students’ confidence and encourage them to speak English aloud during answering or practicing.
