【教学目标】

知识与技能目标:

1.全体学生能够理解文本情境,理解并读懂文本;

2.通过阅读问题训练,学生能在语篇中寻找关键词,并能进行细节推理等阅读方法训练。

过程与方法目标:

1.让学生通过回答问题,汇报自己每天的上学方式,激活已有的背景知识和储备词汇,为阅读打下基础,同时也为进入本课学习创设情境;

2.学生通过读图、寻找关键词、细节推理等进行阅读方法训练。

3.根据本课出现的上学方式能恰当的选择安全建议。

情感态度与价值观目标:

了解不同国家学生上学的交通方式,让学生学会珍爱生命,珍惜学校生活,注意交通安全,努力学习。

【教学重难点】

重点:

1.读懂文本,了解不同地方的孩子必须因地制宜选择不同的交通方式。

2.为不同的交通方式提供对应的安全建议。

难点:

1.掌握新单词sled,ferry等。

2.正确认读四个地方:Munich, Germany, Alaska, Papa Westray, Scotland等。

2.根据文本内容进行细节的推理。

教具:CAI。

【教学过程】

Step1: Warm up:

1.Greeting

2.Free talk (revision):

You know my home is near the school. I come to school by bus.It’s cheap,It cost me 1 yuan.Sometimes, I come by taxi.It’s fast.But it’s a little e xpensive.B e cause it cost me 5 yuan.So I ususlly walk. How about you? How do you come to school?

【设计意图:复习学过的上学方式,激活已有的知识储备,为自然进入文本阅读做好铺垫。】Step2. Presentation ---Pre-reading

1.So many ways to come to school.Do you know some children come to school by ship? By plane? Today I take you to 4 places,and you will see some special ways to go to school.Open the books.And turn to P18

Step3.While-reading

1.The 1st reading:

Read the text quickly and underline the ways to go to school with “—”

Question:How many ways to go to school can you find in the text?

Read the text quickly and underline the answer.(1min)

Students answer the question. (T writes on the blackboard,)

①Read silently and circle the places in each picture.

Look at the screen and compare with the answers.

Read the 4 places together.(T puts the 4 word cards on the blackboard.)

Teacher summarizes the 4 ways to go to school in each picture.

②Do the exercise---Tick or cross together by doing actions.

3.The 3rd reading:

Read by yourself and work in groups.

Q1:Why do the children go to school by___?

P2:Why do they go by sled?

Answer: It snows a lot.(kids means children)

P4: And in Papa Westray, Scotland,children go to school by plane? Why?

Answer: Because the ferry didn’t work.

P3: But in some places, there are so many rivers. So they go to school by ferry. Like in Jiangxi, China.

Q2:Does everyone in the text go to school?(P19-2) Read the passage below and answer.

4.The 4th reading:

Robin can read this passage for grandpa. What about you?

Listen and imitate.

Step4.Post-reading

1.They go to school everyday. Can we give them some suggestions on safety? Please read and choose.

【设计意图:学生根据不同上学方式,并提出相应的安全建议。】

2.Life is precious. We must pay attention to the traffic rules. Be careful on the way to school or home.Study hard!
