Unit 4 I have a pen pal

教材分析

本单元主题是“I have a pen pal”,通过本单元的学习,要求学生可以描述自己和他人的兴趣爱好,我节选的是Part C Story time,以“小松鼠的尾巴为什么是浓密的”为线索,层层展开,趣味性很强,符合小学生的认知规律。

学情分析

本课教学对象是六年级学生,经过三年多的英语学习,他们已经掌握了一定的词汇,具有一定英语学习的积极性和主动性,求知欲较强,教师在教学过程中要创设情境启发学生主动去建构知识,进一步培养他们学习英语的自主能力。

教学目标

(一)知识目标

1、能听懂、理解故事的大意。

2、了解讲故事中的相关时态。

(二)能力目标

能根据故事内容,适当增减,分角色表演故事。

(三)情感目标

通过故事教学培养学生阅读的好习惯,发展学生的兴趣爱好,乐于交朋友,养成积极乐观的人生态度。

教学重难点

教学重点

能正确的询问和表述自己及他人的兴趣爱好。

教学难点

能在情境中理解“bushy”的含义及一般过去时的用法。

教学准备:课件,音频,视频,表演故事的相关道具。

教学过程

Step1 Warm-up & review

1.Free-talking

2.Let’s do and chant together

3.Sing a song “I have a pen pal”

4.T shows a picture of Zhang Jike and review the key sentences: ---What does he like?

---He likes ……

Step2 Presentation

1.T introduces her friend to the class.

2.Say hello to “Tom”.

3.T shows pictures of the passage and let students guess the content.

4.Play the video and guide students answer the questions .

Q1: Where does Zac live?

Q2: What is Zac”s hobby?

Q3: What is King hobby?

Step3 Practice

1.Listen again and answer:

Q1: Was the King angry with Zac? Why?

Q2:What happened to Zac?

2.Listen and read after the video.

3.Know the meaning of “bushy”.

4.Know the usage of the past tense.

4.Fill the blank according to the story.

5.Role-play the story.

Step4 Production

T sets a situation and lets students write a letter to their pen pal.

1.Listen the story and read the story emotionally.
