Step1. Greeting “Good morning, boys and girls”

Talk about the weather today.“How’s the weather today?”

Step 2. Sing a song and act out. “ Shake my hand.”

Step 3. Warming up Look at some photos and say “What are they doing?” as fast as quickly, then together. (six photos) Step 4. Leading

Activity 1 on the textbook. “Look at the photo, there are two dogs. The weather is bad, and they are sad. Now, let’s have a look. ‘How’s the weather?’

and ‘Why are they sad?’”

Play the video. Students follow it. Step 5. Presentation “Now, I have news for you. Today is Daming’s birthday. And he’s having a birthday party. Let’s come to the party together. At the party, here are 3 questions for you.”

“ 1.Daming is playing the suona. But what happens? 2.Daming is playing the suona again. But what happens? 3.Daming is playing the suona for the third time. But what happens?”

Follow the video. “At the end of the party, we should sing a song for Daming. Happy birthday to you.” Sing the song together. Step 6. Writing Activity 4 on the textbook. Look at the photos , and complete the sentences. Students check the answers and get marks. Step 7. Summary Shelf-check (4 questions) “Who’s the winner?” and congratulations to the winner. Step 8. Homework “If today is your birthday, and you’re having a birthday party. Imagine what happens at your party.”
