Teaching procedure:

Step one Warmer

Greetings and guess a riddle.

T: Oh, I think it’s time for our class. My watch doesn’t work. Oh, what time is it? I will ask my friend. Where is my friend? You know, my friend has two hands. And it never sleeps. It walks day and night. Do you know it?

Step two Revision1

1.T: Yes, it’s a clock. It’s my friend. (The teacher shows out a clock and the topic)

2.Hello. I’m Mr. Clock. I am very handsome, am I? I am very happy today I can be here with you to have class together. Today, I bring three friends here. Today, let’s walk on them, and see who can walk the fastest.(Stick three different color clocks and have a competition in groups.)

4.Le t’s revise the time word from one o’clock to twelve o’clock,

Step three Practice 1 Look and guess

1.Wow, you can study by yourself. You are so smart. Let my test you. What about playing a game. Look at the screen carefully and say what time is it? Ready, go. (Present the time quickly on PPT and the teacher asks What time is it? and the students try to guess.)

2.Oh, you are really super. Let’s relax and sing a song together( what time is it?) Step four Revision2

1.T: (Sing a song) What time is it zhouwei, what time is it zhouwei? S: It’s two o’clock. Good, you are good singers. I like singing very much. And I like exercising too. Look at me, I can do this. And guess, what time is it? You can ask Is it…? (板书)( The teacher acts like a clock.)

2.Ask some students to act as a clock, and the others guess.

Game rules: One student plays as an eagle, the other students should stand up and ask Mr.Eagle, Mr, eagle. Is it one o’clock? ( From one to twelve, )You should sit down as quickly as possible at the certain time or the eagle will eat you.

(Every one take a photo of your work with your i-pad, and share it in class, After that students can be chosen by the computer and show out their work on the screen.) Step seven Consolidation and enlargement

1.Story-reading

Mr. Clock: I like your work so much. You are so smart. I have two friends. One is Peter, the other is Mary. They are smart too. Now, you can choose one of the stories and try to know more about my friend, ok. And then answer the questions on your i-pad. 2. Learn something from the two stories, lead the students to say Peter has a good habit. But Mary doesn’t. So we should keep healthy habits, keep a healthy body. 3. Sing a song (Ten little Indians)

Make your own story book like Peter and Mary.
