教学内容:Story time

教学目标:

1. 能听懂、会说、会读单词:draw, picture, park, flower, boat, river, easy, difficult.

2. 能听懂、会读、会说日常交际用语:Good idea!Sure, it’s easy. It’s difficult, but I can try.

3. 能用句型 What can you see? I can see … Can you see...? 来交流看到的事物;能用句型Can you …? 询问交流会做的事。

4. 能理解并正确流利地朗读课文,能在教师指导下尝试表演课文。

5. 学习Tim不惧困难,勇于尝试的精神。

教学重点:

Step 1 Warming up

1. Greeting & Free talk

T: What day is it today?

What lessons do you have this morning?

What subjects do you like? Why?

How is the weather?(sunny)

Making the snowball bigger and bigger.

Eg : kites

We can fly kites.

We can fly kites on a sunny day.

We can fly kites on a sunny day in the playground.

In spring, we can fly kites on a ... in the playground.

In spring, we can fly kites on a...in the...with our friends.

Step 2 Presentation and practice

T:We can fly kites on a sunny day. We can play football on a sunny day. And we can also go on an outing. Today, Mike and his brother Tim go out. Look! Where are they?

S: They’re in the park.

Teach: park

What can we see and what can we do in the park? Let’s read and judge. Read and judge(T/F):

T:We can do many different things in the park. What are they doing there? Please watch and answer.

(After watching)Ss: They're drawing pictures.

Teach: draw

T: Do they like drawing. What can they draw? Can they draw well? Let’s read picture by picture.

T: First, let’s listen! Do they like drawing? Pay attention, you can get information from the words, pictures, expression and intonation.

Ss listen and answer: Yes, they do.

T: How do you know that?

S: They’re happy/ Tim says Good idea!(=That’s a good idea./Great idea!) Read after the computer, then 2 pairs of Ss, then boys and girls.

( Learning Tip:齐读Picture 2&3,寻找答案。注意联系上下文理解生词。) T: What can they draw? Can they draw well?Look for the answer in Picture 2 and 3. You can learn the new words from the context.

Ss read together, then answer:They can draw the tree and the flowers. (T: Exactlly, who can draw the tree and the flowers?Ss: Tim)

T:Why does Tim draw them?

S:Because he can see them over there.

T:Can he draw them well?

T:Tim is confident. Be confident Tim,and read after the computer.

Then, Group 1,2-Group 3,4

(Learning Tip:轻声自读Picture 4&5,寻找答案,遇到困难,可与同桌讨论。)

T:This time,what can Tim draw?

S: A boat.

T:Where’s the boat?

S:On the river.

(Teach: river, lake)

T: Can he draw well?

S: No. Tim says It’s difficult, but I can try.

T:Oh, drawing a boat is not easy, it’s difficult for him.

Teach: difficult

T:Does Tim think it’s difficult, I can’t draw?

S:No.

T: He says It’s difficult, but I can try.

(引导学生有感情地朗读该句话。)

T:Actually how can he draw?

Can he draw well or badly?

S: Badly.

T:Because Mike says Is this a boat? Which one is his picture?

Tim can’t draw the boat very well. So Mike can’t see clearly. He’s shocked. Is this a boat? It means It doesn’t look like a boat.

Read the sentence

T:Look at the picture. What do you want to say to Tim?

You can use both Chinese and English.

S: (不要气馁,不要放弃,多练习Don’t be sad./Never give up! Keep on trying!...)

T:Thank you for your encouragement. Tim will keep on learning. Maybe he will be an artist some day. Boys and girls, when you face something difficult, don’t be afraid, don’t give up easily, please try and try again, then it will be easy for you. Never forget that It’ s difficult, but I can try!
