Step 2 Presentation
1.
Set a situation: Today Gogo came to visit us with a big basket of fruit. Can you guess? What fruit? 2.
Hold up a banana. Look! What’s this? It’s a banana. (Show the ppt) And this? Melon! 3.
What else? Dear kids, look! What’s this? It’s a ____. (Show the ppt) pear! Pear, pear, pear! Read the words for a while. Then, use the computer to present the pictures of pears. Ask, “What are these?”
“They’re pears.”
The teacher will emphasize the letter “s” with the body language. At the same time, show Ss the stuffs of pears. Let the kids touch and pronounce the word “pear” and “pears”. 4.
Teach the other three words in the same way. But orange has been learned before. So the teacher will spend less time practicing the words.

Observe and conclude by Ss first, then the teacher explains the plural and show the singular and the plural on the screen.
Step3 Practice
1.
Class work: The whole classes practice the words for 2 minutes in the ask-and-answer method with the picture cards. 2.
Pair work: read the words to the partner, ask and answer with the new sentences. 3.
Individual work: The teacher points to a new word at random and ask one student to answer, checking whether Ss have mastered the new words. 4.
One student acts as a teacher, comes to the front and asks the other students question with the picture cards and the new word.
Step 4 Chant Make good use of the sounds; chant the sentences loudly, then in a whispering way.
It can help Ss review what have been learned in this class. Meanwhile, it can activate the atmosphere of the class.
Step 5 More practices Show the items, Ss fill in the blank.
Step 6 Conclusion Let Ss learn to conclude what they have learned in this class, to check how the whole class master the new knowledge.
Say goodbye to Gogo and the fruit.
Homework 1.
Copy the new words four times. 2.
Read the new words and sentences at home, at least 10 minutes. 3.
Write down the new words and sentences without looking at the book.

Reflections:
It’s very good in the class. The ppt is attractive. Ss took active part in the class. Most of them can listen, pronounce, spell and write the new words. The teaching objectives have been achieved. However, the key and the difficult points have not been mastered properly. I spent the same time practicing both points. As the result, the designed contents can not be finished in 40 minutes. Besides, more different activities should be used in the class.
