Reading Students in Class 3 are interested in and are good at English but most of them are quiet and seldom participate in class actively. And the topic of this unit, poem, is new to them. But I think the poems in our textbook are easy for them. So I want to show them some typical and wonderful English poems and guide them to appreciate them.

学情分析

In this way, they can enjoy the beauty of English poems by taking part in different kinds of class activities, and then also become more and more interested in English classes and English. To achieve that, I’d like to present them a guide to appreciate an English poem first in which they will learn some basic knowledge of poems and skills to appreciate them. And I will take the poem Helping hands in more practice as practice and production. 1.
