Unit 2 What Do You Want to Be?

一、Teaching Aims:

1. Knowledge aims:

① Four-skill words: always, usually, sometimes, never, practice the violin,

go hiking,

② Key structures：What do you usually do …?

I always\usually\……

What does he/she usually do… ? He/She always\usually\……

2. Ability aims:

By the end of the lesson, the students should be able to make a dialogue using the key structures. 3.

Focus of the lesson: 学生能够运用以下句型对自己或他人经常做的事情进行问答交流。

What do you usually do …?

I always\usually\....... What does he usually do… ?

He usually …... 4. Predicted area of difficulty: 1. 学生能够熟练掌握动词三单在句子中的用法。

2. The pronunciation of /æ/ /ʒ/ 二、Teaching methods: Task-based teaching approach, TPR, Situational language teaching.

三、Teaching aids: CAI, tape recorder四、Teaching Procedures：

Step I : Greetings and assessment. Divide the students into two groups. And ask them to try their best to get more stars.

设计意图：介绍评价方式并以此贯穿全课，激励学生的学习积极性。

Step II: Presentation

1. Check up 1: Let’s Guess the word. T: Now, let’s guess the words. This one How to say and how to spell ? S: always / usually / sometimes / never T: Let’s read together.

设计意图：通过猜词游戏，来检测学生在家学习频率副词的掌握情况。

2. Check up 2: Let’s chant

T: First you read it by yourself. Second let’s chant.

设计意图：通过chant环节，让学生们在有韵律的节奏中进行chant,从而来检测学生对关于频率副词的句型的掌握情况。

3. Check up 3: Let’s PK

T: Let’s PK to make a sentence.

设计意图：通过PK猜词的游戏，来检测学生利用频率副词造句的情况。。

4. Check up 4: Let’s write. 设计意图：通过填空，来检测学生自己学习频率副词应用的情况。

5. Let’s learn:

T: I never watch TV after school. But I always read books after . What do you do after school ? S: I usually practice the piano. (learn and read the new phrase. ) T: a pronounce /æ/ 发音chant : 我家dad, 脾气bad, 让我sad, 有只cat, 非常fat, 专吃rat. 设计意图：

通过发音绕口令来让学生们理解和掌握。

T: What do you do after school ?

S: I always do my homework.

T: What do you do on the weekend ? S: I always do my homework.

设计意图：

通过巩固频率副词来引出本课新授的词汇和短语。

通过本课重点问句来引出本课其它新授的词汇和短语。

8. Work in pairs: T: What do you do after school ? S3: I usually do my homework after school.

S4: He usually does his homework .

T: Three students a group to work in pairs. 设计意图：通过小组对话的方式来检测学生对本课重点对话的能力。

9.Let’s come to the text. T: First listen to the tape and second repeat.

设计意图：通过回归课文，让学生理解文本，同时培养学生朗读技能。

10.Let’s do the exercises.

A. Listen and check the correct picture.

设计意图：听录音回答问题，让学生初步了解文本，同时培养学生听的技能。

B. Describe the pictures. 设计意图：

利用看图说话来让学生提高语言表达和综合运用的能力。

11. Summarize the assessment: How many stars did you get? 设计意图：总结课堂评价，鼓励学生学习英语的热情。

Step III: Homework. 任选一项完成：

1. Make four sentences （用频率副词各造一句话）

例如：I usually do my homework after school. 2. Make a dialogue:
