Review

(教师出示Section A, 3中的图片，让学生用while/when看图说句子，复习时间状语从句。) T: Look at the pictures. Make some sentences using “while” or “when”.

(教师出示第2幅图。) S1: Kangkang’s mother was cooking while Kangkang was playing computer games.

(教师用同样的方法完成其余的图片。) Step 2

Lead-in(师生对话，导入新课。) T: Well done! Do you like traveling?

Presentation 1.The teacher shows the picture of Tian’anmenSquare in 3a. Lead to the new lesson.（教师通过课件出示1a中天安门广场的平面图，导入新课。）

The teacher lead the students to learn the great buildinngs of the Tian’anmen Square.Let the students say out the Chinese meaning of the great buildings, then read 3 times, then match the names with the buildings on the map, finish 3a. 2. The teacher shows the picture of directions, then lead the students review the direction words. (教师通过课件出示方位坐标图，引导学生复习方位词。) 3.Fill in the blanks with the correct direction words in 3a, finish 3b. Then check the answer one by one. 4.The teacher shows a map of China. Let the students ask and answer in pairs to practice the directions. Then lead them to learn the usage of “in/on/to.” Then let the students make more sentences in groups with “in/on/to.”

5.Listen to the tape and number the pictures, finish 2A. 6.Listen again and write down the time when people built these buildings, finish 2B. 7. The teacher asks the students to look at the picture of 1a and lead to1a: “Kangkang and

Then complete the table with key words, finish 1b. Then check the answers together. 9. The teacher lets the students read 1a, and then asks them to learn in groups to find out the useful phrases and expressions. At last let them sum up the main points. 10. The teacher makes a summary to explain the key points and difficult points to the students.

11.The teacher give the students 3 minutes to recite the useful phrases and expressions, then check it. 12.The teacher asks the students from different groups to introduce Tian’anmen Square and have a competition.
