Analysis of the teaching material This unit is from PEP English, Grade 4. Unit1 my school is focused on the topic of some rooms and floors and how to ask and answer the rooms correctly. The main functional items are talking about how to describe the positions. The type of this lesson is reading and acting, and according to the English Curriculum Standards that request the students who are in Grade 4should achieve Level 2.From the aspects of language skills, the students can understand the teacher and know how to use the adjectives. The students should understand what is heard according to the orders and questions and they can guess the meaning from the pictures .They should know the key words and use the new languages to make a dialogue. From the aspects of speaking, they can read, speak and make several turn-talking and then write something according to the pictures. The students can take part in the pair-work activities with a partner with the teacher’s guide.

Analysis of the students The students in Grade 4 are active and they are interested in new things. After learning English for 3 terms, they have accumulated some basic knowledge, they are eager to speak and listen more English, so I will give them more time to practice. In this way, I can achieve my teaching aims and make this lesson effective and

happy.

Teacher's Reflection :本节课我通过设计活动复习学过的关键词和功能句，让学生先温习学过的知识点。然后，又通过设计四个活动来训练学生的听、说、读、写方面的能力。尽而能够熟练朗读课文，表演课文。拓展任务不但培养了学生的能力，更培养了学生热爱家乡的美好情感。不足之处，由于时间的关系，不能达到全员提问，参与老师的教学，学生展示时间不充足。希望通过本次授课能提升个人的教学水平，摒弃不足，完善自身教学。
