By the end of this lesson, the students are expected to

1.Using modeled sentences to describe a person’s likes or dislikes. E.g. She likes playing

volleyball, basketball and table tennis.Using yes/no questions to elicit a positive or negative response. E.g. Does she like playing badminton? No, she doesn’t.

2.Express and accept invitations with the sentence pattern “Would you like to ...”. E.g. Would you like to come with us? Oh, sure. I’d love to.

3.Know famous athletes from the USA, the UK and China and know how to introduce them briefly. Key point & challenging point: use modeled expressions to talk about sports people like. Teaching methods: communicative method; task-based method
