Warming-up(3minutes) Play the song“If you are happy...”Ask the students dance to the music.

T: Is this music beautiful ?

T: How do the people feel in the video?

T:

Yes. Different people have different feelings. Can you think of other adjectives about feelings ? Let’s have a competition to see which group can say the most. Are you clear? Let’s begin! (such as

2. Review.(3 minutes) The teacher shows pictures on the PPT.

T: Have you got the the right order? What’s the right order?Give them correct orders. T: Now, look at the picture A. Why does the girl feel lonely?

Ss:This girl feels loney because she has no friends.

T :Why does the boy get angry ? Help Ss answer: The boy gets angry because his pen was lost. Write the sentence“This girl feels loney because she has no friends.”on the blackboard. Let the students read the sentence two times.Ask them to pay attention to sentence pattern. T: Now talk about other pictures like this.Please do it in pairs use Adverbial Clauses, then ask two pairs to show their dialogues to the class . Then check the answers.

Ask them make more sentences freely using Adverbial Clause. 4. Presentation ＆

Show the picture in 1a

T : Look at the girl. This is Li Hong. She is a shy girl. What is she doing ? Can you guess : Why She is crying in the bathroom? Now listen to the conversation for the first time and finish Task1 and Task2.

Listen to the tape recording of 1a and answer the questions: 1. How many people are there in this conversation? Who are they? 2. Who are they talking about? Task 2

ask some students to share their answers.

Task 3 Play the video of 1a. T:

Let’s listen to the conversation again and fill in the blanks in 1b.

Once they finish them, invite some volunteers to share their answers

T: Now look and read the dialogue and check your answers.

Please pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.. The students underline the key words and phrases in their books and make some notes. If they have difficulties, let them discuss them with their partners. Give some help when necessary, then invite some students to make sentences or use them in real situation.

5. Practice（4minute）

Ask Ss to read the dialogue first and then make conversations in pairs.

Example : A : Why does Helen look worried ?

B : Because Li Hong is so happy.

A : Why does Li Hong feel lonely ?

B : ... Then let them act out their conversations in pairs.
