1. Learn some new words and phrase:

try one's best, successful, imagine, soup, biscuit, pancake, cheese, pie 2. Learn some phrases about preparing for the food festival.

make biscuits, learn to cook food, cook soup, set the table, write a song 3. Learn object clauses. I imagine(that) a lot of people will come to the food festival. The whole class work let us see something about the food festival. Teacher show some phrases, ask students “what is the meaning?”

Teacher shows the pictures of Craig Kielburger to the students. Ask the students to know about the information about Craig Kiel burger they collected.

Consolidation (10 minutes)

Group work Teacher plays the flash of 1a. Ask the students to watch the flash, and then mark the sentences of 1b with T or F. Students check the answers. Teacher asks four students to tell the answers. 2.

Group work Teacher asks the students to read the conversation and match the information of 1c. Teacher asks four students to tell the answers. Teach the new word poster by showing a real poster to them. 3.

Students discuss in groups: What will the food festival be like? Teacher lets the students read 1a, and then discuss what the food festival will be like with the help of the pictures and the example. Let them practice the usage of the object clauses. Step 4
