= do with

deal with 与how连用，do with与what连用. 练习：1).I don’t know how to __________the sad girl?

点拨：refuse to do sth. 拒绝做某事

e.g.:

He refused to take part in the sports meet. 练习：苏姗拒绝在晚会上表演芭蕾。Susan________ _________ _________ballet at the party. 3…., even though it was an accident.

点拨：even though “虽然”= even if

注意：两者都不能与but连用.

举例：Even though/ Even if it was dark outside, he still went to the factory. 练习：虽然他很聪明，但是他不努力学习。__________________, he doesn’t study hard. 4.①but he doesn’t hate the driver any longer. ②He no longer stays in his room by himself. 点拨：not ---any longer =no longer不再

链接：not---any more = no more .不再

区别：no longer着重表示时间的不再延续，意为“如今不再”。

no more 着重表示数量或程度的减少。

举例：Mr. Brown doesn’t work here any longer. =Mr. Brown no longer works here. I don’t see him any more. = I no more him.

应用：他不再在学校。He______ at school_____ _____. 或：He’s ____ ____at school.
