Ⅲ. Teaching procedures

Step 1 Review

Review if it's polite to eat soup noisily in Japan to review Object clauses with if. Step 2 Pre - reading

1.Lead to the new lesson and teach new words “formal,

manner, table manners”

2.Play a video to lead to the new lesson. Teach new word “quietly”.

3.Look at the picture and write the words on the lines. Write the new words on the blackboard.

Step3 While - reading

1.Let the students read 1a quickly and find out the main ideal about the passage.

2.Let the students read 1a carefully and Finish the table.

3. Read 1a again and Read 1a and mark T or F . Finish 1b. Step 4 Post-reading

1.Find out these new words and phrases.

2.Retell the passsage with a mind-map. Step 5 Practice

1.Read the passage together.

2.Let the students choose and finish the exercises.

3.Sum up what they have learnt in this class. Step 6 Homework
