一、教学材料分析:
本单元主要学习6个动物单词和一个新的一般疑问的句型
“Is this a panda?Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t. ”,同时复习了以前学习过的动物单词和上一课句子“What’s this? It’s a/an …”。
二、学情分析:
本班学生英语基础扎实,课堂活跃,对于学习动物的知识很感兴趣。同时,在上学期已学习很多动物的词语,为新课打下基础。
三、教学目标:

语言知识目标
学习单词elephant, panda, monkey, lion, tiger, rabbit和句子Is this a panda? No, it isn’t. Is this a panda? Yes, it is. 2.
语言技能目标
通过查案、做游戏、唱歌《Is this a dog?》等多个环节,使学生在观察、合作、表演创造等多方面的能力得到发展与提高。

能看图片说和写出相应单词。
(2)
能围绕动物图片用一般疑问句进行简单对话。

情感态度目标
(1)培养学生浓厚的英语学习兴趣,挖掘学生的表演才能和实际应用语言的能力,让学生享受学英语的快乐。
(2)培养学生热爱动物的情感。
四、教学重难点
通过对话的学习,能让学生学会灵活运用新知识,自己创设新的情景对话。另外,单词elephant的发音、a/an的用法、句子Is this...?的读音、isn’t的分解形式也是难点之一。
五、教法学法
根据本单元的教学内容,可采用动作教学法、合作学习法、情景教学法组织教学活动;并充分利用单词卡、图片等,最大限度地调动学生学习的积极性。

大象、熊猫、猴子、狮子、老虎、兔子单词图片
七、教学过程
Step1 Greeting & Warming up T: Good morning, boys and girls.
Ss: Good morning, Miss Tan. Step2 Lead in (Use Zootopia to setting a scene) T: Look, who are they?(point to animals)
S:动物
/ animals T: Read after me, animals. S: animals T: how about this two animals? Who are they? S: Nick and Judy.
T: Yes, they are Nick and Judy. And they are policemen. T: What do policemen do? S: 抓坏人
T:Yes, they catch bad animals. T: Today, Judy and Nick need our help. A classroom is robbed. Do you want to help them? S: Yes.
T: Ok. Let’s go. Step3 Review old words (Part One Find some clues in the crime scene.) T: Oh, Judy finds something. Judy asks, “What’s this?”(point to the desk)
Who can help Nike answer? S: It’s a desk. (Use role playing as a way to review old words and old sentences.) (words: desk, chair, pencil, ruler, book ) (sentence: What’s this? It’s a … )
(At last, find out the animal footprint book and some footprints of the bad animal.) Step4 Presentation (Read the book ) (Learn new animals’ words and the general question)
T: Before reading the book, do you know any animals? who can tell me? Please raise your hands. (Brainstorming, let Ss think about the old words about animals)
S: cat, dog, rabbit…
T: Ok, Let’s read the book and find some clues about the bad animal.
T: Ah, it has two long ears, a short tail, and it can mew, mew, mew. What’s this?
S: 兔子/ rabbit
T: ra('ræ), bbit (bɪt) rabbit, read after me, rabbit. (Use natural phonics teaching method )
S: rabbit
T: Which group can read this word? R- A-B-B-I-T, rabbit ,Train, train, where is the train? (Let Ss read the word one by one )
S: R- A-B-B-I-T, rabbit
T: What’s this?
S: It’s a rabbit.
T: A rabbit or an rabbit? (point to the picture)
S: A rabbit.
T: Great! Let’s write down this word, show me your finger, R- A-B-B-I-T, rabbit.
T: Good! Please pay attention to rabbit’s footprint. (point to the footprint)
(Use the same way to teach words, an elephant, a panda. A monkey)
T: Is this a money? (After learning the new word, monkey, point to the monkey’s picture)
S: Yes.
T: We can answer, “Yes, it is.”(practice this general question)
T: Is this a money ? (point to the tiger’s picture)
S: No.
T: We can answer, “No, it isn’t.”(practice this general question)
T: So, what’s this?
S: 老虎/tiger.
T: Excellent! Read after me, tiger. (Use the same way to teach word, tiger and practice)
T Is this a tiger? (point to the lion’s picture)
S: No,it isn’t.
T: What’s this?
S: It’s a 狮子/ lion.
T: Excellent! Read after me, lion. (Use the same way to teach word, lion and practice)
T: Is this a lion? (point to the tiger’s picture)
S: No, it isn’t.
T: Great, but pay attention to “isn’t”. It can change to “is” and “not”.
T: Read all these words together. Step5 Practice and consolidation
(Part two Check the footprint) Though comparing the footprints, find out the bad animal, lion. (Using these two sentences, “Is this …?”
“Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t.” to ask and answer ) (Part Three Catch the lion)

Look and say. (Do some exercises about words’ pronunciation)
Read the word on the carrot, the carrot will stop the lion. 2.
Fill in the blank. (Do some exercises about words’ spelling.)
Spell the word to help Judy chase the lion. 3.
Guess and say. (Do some exercises about the sentences, “Is this …?”
“Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t.”)
Guess the animals’ names and help Judy catch the lion. (Part Four Sing a song to celebrate)
Learn a song, “Is this a dog?”
Step6 Summary Let Ss review what we have learnt today. Step7 Homework
1、读、背新单词。
2、将P19单词各写一行,句子一次。
3、完成口语100的对话训练
