Unit 6 Helping at home 1.
Teaching Goals (1). To learn the following expressions: make the bed, sweep the floor, clean the window, cook dinner, do the dishes, and water the plants. (2). To grasp the key sentence: He/She/I is/am doing~ (3).To let Ss know that working is glorious, everybody should be useful. 2.
Pre-class preparation: new expressions cards, pictures related with housework.PPT 3.
Teaching steps: (1) greetings (2) warm up: Let’s enjoy a song
the related ppt), is it beautiful? Ss: Yes. T: Thank you. OK. This is my bedroom, do you love it? Ss: Yes T: But I don’t like it, because the quilt is falling down. What shall I do? Ss: __________ Show the new expressions: make the bed.
Teach how to read with body language, and then teach how to write. Ask Ss to read group by group. Use body language to do: cook dinner and the other expressions. Teach how to read and how to write.
(4) Fun play (to practice the pronunciation) A: hign and low voice B: Big bomb. C: look and guess (5) clean the window and ask the Ss: what am I doing? Write on the Bb: I am cleaning the widow. Lead to read. Show the other two pictures about cleaning the window and write on Bb: He is cleaning the window. She is cleaning the window. Specify that ING is a logo for present tense, and ask Ss to put this logo to the end of every verb. And then practice the Key sentence for several times.
(6)Fun play (to practice the key sentence) A: Knock the golden eggs. (7)Homework: Copy the new phrases. 5 times each. Help your parents to do the housework.
