教材依据

本课时选自广州市义务教育课程标准实验小学英语教材（Success with English）, 六年级上学期，Module 6 Festival, Unit 16 Christmas is Coming(Dialogue)，第一课时。

二、

设计思路

1．教学内容分析

六年级上册Module 6 所讲述的话题是“Festival”节日

。其中Unit 16的是一篇关于圣诞节的情景对话，对话中涉及一些与圣诞节相关的词汇、短语及谈论节日的句型，并通过对话介绍关于西方圣诞节的文化习俗。

2．学情分析

1)

“节日”是学生非常感兴趣的话题，而且非常贴合生活实际，因此学生的学习兴趣比较浓厚。通过五年级上册Module1 Routines and Dates的学习，学生已经掌握了日期的表达方式并认识了New Year’s Day, May Day, Children’s Day, Teachers’ Day等一些节日的名称和相应日期。在四年级和五年级的时候，学生还学习了关于描述和谈论人物、国家、活动等相关英语知识，对本课时的学习起正迁移的作用。

六年级小学生已具备一定的分析学习能力和创造性思维能力，并积累了一定的英语知识和英语学习经验，而且追求任务完成时所获得的成就感及师长同伴的赞许和奖励，因此在教学过程中，教师应运用各种游戏、比赛、角色扮演、小组合作等活动及多媒体调动他们的学习积极性，激发他们运用英语进行表达和交际的兴趣，并引导他们运用和形成一定的学习策略。

3．设计理念

新课程改革要求英语教学须具备“生活化”和“形象化”的特点, 并且以语言运用为中心，借助创设情景和任务等教学手段把语言综合运用

能力的培养有效落实在教学过程中。

本课是一节新授课，教师通过情景介绍、PPT展示等方式创设情景，激发学生的学习兴趣，让学生在情景中复习旧知、学习新知及进行听、说、读、（写）的训练，注重课堂教学的有效性，通过小组内合作和小组间比赛等活动让学生互相学习，相互促进，以满足学生全面发展和差异发展的需要，并以此激发学生学习和运用英语知识进行交际的兴趣和积极性，让学生在运用所学知识完成情景任务的过程中提高英语交际能力。

1．借助图片、照片、多媒体、教师身体语言等创设仿真的情景，让学生在情景中理解、掌握并运用英语知识；

2．让学生通过音标发音规律认读和记忆单词，并引导他们掌握和运用借助音标学习和记忆单词的策略；

3．通过让学生小组合作表演课文对话、计划圣诞节活动等课堂活动激发学生学习英语的兴趣和积极性，提高学生的语言综合运用能力，启发学生创造性思维，并培养学生的小组合作学习能力；

4．引导学生运用和掌握对知识进行归纳、总结和记忆的学习策略。

七、教学准备

1．资源收集：搜集关于圣诞节的资料。

2．可见制作：用PPT制作情景、圣诞节相关图片、语言知识点和拓展阅读的幻灯片。

1）在课前让学生通过上网搜索、查阅书籍等途径初步了解西方国家圣诞节

的相关信息；

2）让学生自带与圣诞节相关的物品，营造圣诞节的气氛。

八、教学过程：

1．热身与复习

(5 minutes) 1）Greeting

2）Guessing game：通过PPT呈现不同节日的相关图片，让学生猜图片所表示的节日名称和相应日期，引出并教授单词“festival”

“Christmas”，以及引入课题

“Christmas is coming.”

目的：通过游戏引导学生复习节日的名称和日期的表达方式，带出新单词“festival” “Christmas”并引入圣诞节话题。

3）Sing a song about Christmas “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”

目的：通过歌曲和与圣诞节相关的flash动画营造圣诞节气氛，激发学生的学习兴趣和积极性，引出并新授词汇“Father Christmas”。

2．呈现与操练

1)

在PPT中呈现圣诞老人驾雪橇、爬烟囱、送礼物的图片，并向学生介绍圣诞老人和展示圣诞袜，引出新单词“lots of”

“stocking”，引导学生理解Father Christmas brings presents to all the children. He puts the presents in the stockings at night. Father Christmas is fantastic.

“stocking”

“lots of”，渗透关于圣诞节的文化习俗，进一步激发学生对圣诞节的兴趣，为学生理解课文对话作铺垫。

2)

通过多媒体课件模拟与圣诞老人对话的情景，在等待圣诞老人出现过程中引出I can’t wait.并教授新单词“wait”，通过师生与圣诞老人的对话引出课文重点句：

目的：通过让学生与圣诞老人对话引出课文对话中的重点句型，并引导学生操练重点句型，为以下的课文对话学习和对话表演作铺垫。

3) Matching Game: 出示单词的音标，让学生根据音标找出相应的单词，并拼读

其中的四会单词。

目的：通过游戏的方式让学生进一步操练和记忆新授单词，并掌握一定的单词学习和记忆策略。

4) 情景介绍并引入课文对话: Christmas is the best time to be in Britain. Our friend Yongxian is going to the capital of Britain, do you want to go with him? I can’t wait! Let’s go by plane!

1) 四人小组合作：通过圣诞老人的来信设置任务，让学生谈谈对圣诞节的认识

并结合实际，计划如何在广州过圣诞节，小组合作展示，然后给圣诞老人回信。
