MODULE 3 Famous People 一、

教学内容分析

本模块的话题是“名人”，教学内容是“孙中山”和“罗宾汉”。“孙中山”六年级的学生或多或少都知道一些，而“罗宾汉”绝大部分学生都没听说过。课文里的其他名人，如徐悲鸿、卓别林等，学生一般都了解得不多。不过现在资讯发达，只要有需要，师生还是可以通过上网、查资料等方式查到自己想要了解的名人材料。只要教师引导得当，学生对本模块的“名人”话题还是很感想兴趣的，都希望把自己知道的或喜欢的名人故事与同学分享。

二、教学目标

（一）语言知识目标

1、能够按“四会”或“三会”要求记忆单词；

2、能够正确地理解课文意思及用正确的语音、语调流利地朗读课文；

3、能用过去时谈论一些名人的情况；

4、能正确使用升降调朗读肯定句、一般疑问句和特殊疑问句；

5、能正确地读出年份。

（三）学习策略目标

1、通过收集、整理名人的资料培养学生有效运用多种媒体进行学习和运用的策略；

2、积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流。

（四）情感态度目标

1、培养学生听名人故事、说名人故事、背歌谣、唱歌、做游戏、做项目兴趣；

2、敢于开口，积极参与课堂活动。

（五）文化意识目标

通过学习名人故事增加对中外历史文化的了解，拓展视野，提高跨文化交际能力。

第一课时

教学内容

单词音标拼读（六年级已基本能看音标自己进行拼读，所以在教读方面逐渐将主动权交给学生，让学生来教读。）操练单词和课文的认知。

（一）语言教学目标

2、重点句子

Why was he so important? Where was he born? He was born in …

He was the father of modern China. He was against the emperor. He tried to change China and free the people. He loved the people and the people loved him.

(二)语言技能目标

1、能分别掌握上述单词和句子。

2、能理解课文，并能流利地朗读课文。

三、教学重点与难点

课文的理解和重点句子的运用。

四、课前准备

孙中山画像、中山纪念堂照片、课文VCD等

五、教学过程

（一）热身

提问学生：Who’s your hero or heroine? Why?

展示一些名人图片，提高学生的兴趣。

(二)呈现与操练

1、引入新课

2、教新单词：historical历史的

让学生讲几个历史人物，加深对historical的认识。

3、教授新单词。

4、复习单词。

Teacher: Why was Dr Sun Yatsen so important? What did he do? He was a great leader. He was against the emperor. He tried to change China and free the people.(板书)

5、操练单词。

（三）巩固性操练

1、集体朗读单词，然后个别检查；

2、观看课文VCD或听录音，第一遍熟悉课文，第二遍跟读课文然后然后全班读，小组读。

3、通过下面是非题的练习检查学生是否理解课文。

2、挑选若干对学生用自己的语言表演对话，可先做四人小组练习。

（五）布置作业

1、抄写并记忆单词；

2、听读课文；

3、预习课本32页到34页，收集一个你比较熟悉或感兴趣中国历史名人的生平事迹。
